New to the Detroit scene, The Foundation Hotel is housed in the city’s former Fire Department Headquarters. Blending modern luxury with iconic design, choose from two event spaces: the top floor event space with room for a 90 person plated dinner or The Apparatus Room which can accommodate up to 300 for a restaurant buyout. A classic farmhouse that’s probably a bit larger than the one you grew up on, Zingerman’s Cornman Farm has the greenest pastures. This beautiful country wedding venue is a great spot to share the good life with locals and out-of-towners alike.
Situated a mere 30 minutes from Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, Bay Pointe is west Michigan's most perfectly poised lakeside property. Able to accommodate extra large weddings of 400 or cozier weekend-long affairs, take over this stunning resort with the lake, trees and gardens as your setting. This historic dairy barn dates back to the 1930s and is actually known as the largest dairy barn in the Midwest. What that means to you, friends, is that it’s a gorgeous old rustic barn with cavernous domed ceilings and an open timber roof. In short, it’s everything your rustic wedding Pinterest boards have been gravitating towards.
Located about ten minutes up the road from Lake Michigan, this artsy studio space has huge stained glass windows, a monster chandelier that’ll make you wanna dance all night long, and rows of manicured rose gardens. How’s that for a bohemian wedding venue that’s just an hour outside Chicago? Sure makes us wanna dance.
Michigan isn’t exactly the first place that comes to mind when we think of stately old manors, but Greencrest in all its ivy-covered glory is breaking that thought pattern real quick. Surrounded by stately gardens, this is one of those amazing Michigan wedding venues that’s sure to stun all your guests and make them think they’ve been magically transported to the English countryside.
Here’s another epic greenhouse for you plant-crazed lovebirds out there. Planterra Conservatory is a massive glass-encased botanical garden that comes to life with light at night and could be an epic setting for a Michigan wedding that’s totally outside the box.
We could spend weeks writing about the cool warehouse venues in the Midwest and never run out of options we love, and The Cheney Place would absolutely be at the top of that list. Located in Grand Rapids, this window-filled warehouse with concrete and hardwood floors and exposed brick walls makes an awesome spot for an industrial wedding.
If a modern loft space is your dream wedding venue, this Kalamazoo warehouse could be all yours. Loft 310 is a six story brick building with accommodations on-site, a penthouse, and a rooftop. Picture lots of black, white, and awesome.

When it comes to narrowing down your guest list, this spot is all, “the more, the merrier.” Shanahan’s Barn can fit up to 500 party people in its sprawling green country club setting. The gorgeous rustic barn has slatted walls and a massively high ceiling to boot. We’re definitely fantasizing about the cool greenery chandeliers you could rig in this bad boy.
With a commitment to preserving history as well as the future, Castle Farms knows the importance of appreciating their roots while still looking ahead. With multiple indoor and outdoor venue spaces and tons of added perks, this castle seriously does it all. Not to mention, this is one heckuva good looking castle and what fairytale weddings are made of.
Just up the road from Ann Arbor sits one of Michigan’s best wedding venues. Perennial gardens, rolling hills, and a spring fed pond prove the grass is actually greener on a farm. With two barns and plenty of outdoor space, there are various options for how you’ll set the right wedding flow at Misty Farm.
Mackinac Island sits at the northern tip of Michigan and is a sight to behold or become beholden – to your better half, that is. Mission Point Resort on Mackinac is a marine lover’s dream wedding venue and you don’t even have to leave the country to get to this secluded spot.
This lush, lakeside property will instantly transport you onto vacation.
