Cornman Farms’ features a historic barn, farmhouse, gardens, animal quarters, and space for tents or lawn games. Watch chefs prepare an intimate farm-to-feast dinner or host an al fresco evening event in the garden.

Founded by British chef Kieron Hales, Zingerman’s Cornman Farms is an historic 27-acre working farm, where people come together to learn how to enjoy life simply, with whole ingredients, by the easy efforts of family and community. Offering private event spaces for weddings of 4-75, corporate retreats and cooking classes Cornman Farms becomes a home away from home for all those who visit.

The Scene:

Cornman Farms is the ultimate in relaxed elegance with its tree-lined drive, historic buildings and sprawling gardens. The 27-acre farm and its venues were restored from their 1834 foundations with the most discerning guests in mind. Featuring a beautiful exhibition kitchen, chef’s garden, a classic farmhouse and a four-season barn, guests can enjoy the beauty of the countryside just minutes from downtown Ann Arbor.

Design:

Cornman Farms committed to a three year renovation project in 2011 to ensure the preservation of its historic buildings while enhancing the property with modern amenities. The results are spectacular.

Standout Venue Features:

The full-service venue provides exceptional service as well as a full team including event producers, beverage staff and service staff, all led by managing partner and executive chef Kieron Hales.

Kieron’s culinary background propelled him through kitchens across Europe, including the widely-known three Michelin star Paul Bocuse in Burgundy, France as well as the three Michelin star Dal Pescatore in Italy. The British-born chef is known for incorporating his European heritage into his seasonal menus while highlighting the produce from the farm’s gardens.

Guests can roam through the chef’s production gardens and admire the seasonal herbs utilized by our best-in-class bartenders who create homemade simple syrups, garnishes and seasonal cocktails to complement your menu selections.

For animal lovers, the head of animal husbandry can arrange a visit from our friendly farm animals.
