This Coastal Hotel is the Ultimate Santa Monica Experience

Our Media Design Manager takes us on a photo journal of his recent experience at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows.

Perched along the bluffs of Santa Monica and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows  takes your idea of a dream California vacation to a whole new level. With gorgeous, luxurious rooms and bungalows, various event spaces and a sweet location in central Santa Monica, this spot is at the top of our summer crush list right now.

Already known amongst locals as the see-and-be-seen spot of Santa Monica, this spot has the makings for a bachelorette party weekender, and R&R filled group getaway & is a definite must-see for any plant and ocean lover.

The Luxurious Rooms and Bungalows

The suites and bungalows at Fairmont Miramar have a homely, residential feel with a good bit of beachy luxury thrown into the mix. The 31 bungalows are reminiscent of the surrounding Santa Monica beach community, with eclectic art collections and cool beachy hues.

FIG Restaurant

A summery setting with plants dangling from the ceilings, tons of sunshine and a Mediterranean bistro vibe, Fairmont Miramar’s FIG Restaurant is one of the shining stars of the hotel. Sourcing ingredients from the local farmer’s market and cooking over a wood fired grill and oven, the menu here never disappoints. Check out the Grass Fed Lamb Shank and the 'Matcha, Matcha, Matcha' Drink: Light & Dark Rum, Matcha Almond Syrup, Citrus.

Event Options at Fairmont Miramar

The Fairmont Miramar features various event locations, including ballrooms, terraces, gorgeous gardens, a library and a number of lounge zones. But perhaps the classic fave of the bunch is the 1947 cottage nestled in the gardens that’s known as “the Bungalow”. This space has a handful of event rooms and looks out onto the ocean from the indoor lounge and outdoor deck. The nearby giant old fig tree sets the perfect scene for a wedding backdrop too.

The Santa Monica Scene

Art galleries, cafés, farmer’s markets, white sandy beaches and a whole lot of buzz are what make Santa Monica a solid travel destination or easy getaway from the hustle and bustle of DTLA. With easy access to the pier and promenade paired with sweeping views of the ocean, this hotel is truly one of the best places to stay or throw a major event in Santa Monica.
