With a focus on residential interiors, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows has partnered with the nation's leading designers to create immersive lifestyle experiences reflective of Southern California. The hotel features three unique styles of accommodations that all, in their unique styles capture the essence of beach living.

Bungalows
Each of the 31 newly renovated bungalows have a unique personality and all combine a fresh color palate with organic elements throughout. By integrating cooling gray hues, custom lighting and local-inspired vintage artwork the bungalows are reflective of the Santa Monica beach community.
Ocean Tower 
Offering sweeping views of Malibu, the Santa Monica Pier and the Pacific Ocean, the new Ocean Tower has been restored to its original mid-century style and design.
Palisades 
Featuring a distinct residential atmosphere inspired by Santa Monica culture and lifestyle, the Palisades building combines classic with contemporary design for the ultimate seaside escape.

THE BUNGALOW 
The Bungalow is more than a room; it’s a state of mind. Conjured from the rich imagination of Brent Bolthouse, The Bungalow radiates the relaxed charm of another era. Located on the corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Ocean Ave. in Santa Monica, the low-key lounge boasts stunning ocean views and is the perfect spot to watch the sun drip into the sea.

The Bungalow is a breezy Baja-style 1947 cottage surrounded by lushly landscaped grounds and gardens. There are five distinct spaces to mingle within this inviting respite from hectic city life:

The Study, a main bar, an outside deck, a State Room and East Garden for private dining, and a game room.

The Study is perfect for formal business meetings, and holds 50 for a sit-down dinner or 75 for a cocktail party. The State Room doubles as a private dining room with a hand-carved oak table and white director’s chairs. It opens onto a lovely secret garden as well as an old-school game room with a pool table and French doors. The rustic main bar features a wood-burning stove, solid oak herringbone floors and a soaring ceiling with wood rafters. Guests can also step out onto a sweeping brick patio and aged wooden deck dotted with cozy couches and chairs and covered in twinkling lights.

Rather than existing as separate spaces, The Bungalow’s unique gathering areas flow together as seamlessly as the hours of an evening spent within its walls. Guests feel as if they are visiting a welcoming home by the sea rather than a lounge—a place made of sunshine and atmospheric music, where a hand-crafted margarita pairs perfectly with easy conversation and good company.

The Front Drive - at the center of the Front Drive is Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows more than 137 year old Moreton Bay fig tree. An icon of Santa Monica, the fig tree is the second larged of it's kind in the state of California and sets the scene for exqusite special events. The Front Drive is an ideal space for large group seeking outdoor space or couples who desire to tie the knot under the fig tree. 

The Miramar Garden - known for it's lush landscape and sunshine, the Miramar Garden is a favorite amongst guests. Bordered by 31 surf modern bungalows, the Miramar Garden is a favorite for bridal parties seeking accommodations and venue in close proximity to each other. 

The Sunset Terrace - true to its name, this private and intimate terrace boasts spectacular views. Located on the north west corner of the hotel's 5 acre property, the Sunset Terrace is a location ideal for gathering of 50 or less.

The Bungalow, a Baja inspired casita located on property of Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows is one of LA's best places to relax, unwind, enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun drip into the sea.

FIG RESTAURANT, SANTA MONICA

Come experience what the L.A. Times calls, "a raging success." FIG, a Mediterranean inspired bistro, features dishes from the wood burning oven and wood burning grill. By working with local farmers and purveyors, FIG sources the freshest local and organically grown ingredients straight from the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. Chef focuses on ingredients that are in season resulting in dishes that L.A. Confidential calls, "simply prepared items with a focus on flavor and quality."

FIG features an intimate private dining room that seats up to 20. In addition, FIG's communal table and pewter bar allow guests to have a casual inviting dining experience. Located inside Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, FIG is open daily from 5-10 p.m.

Set along Santa Monica’s stunning coastline, there’s a meandering urban resort with lots of gardens, charming bungalows and spectacular terraces overlooking the Pacific. Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows sets the scene for many a weekend getaway, quiet retreat and the occasional wedding within its Baja-style 1947 cottage or its ballrooms. Today, we’re sharing a recent wedding on the property that used color, texture and ritual to create something that perfectly reflected the couple in celebration.

We interviewed event planner Callista Osborn of Callista & Co. to get all the details behind this couple’s cross-cultural wedding ceremony in front of an epic 137-year-old Moreton Bay fig tree on the grounds. Happy International Women's Day! To celebrate this day we are spotlighting an event that The Venue Report was lucky to be a part of with Fran Hauser, Investor/Advisor & Author and Joelle Hoff, founder of Wish & Pink. The gathering was in honor of Fran's new book, The Myth of the Nice Girl: Achieving a Career You Love Without Becoming a Person You Hate, hosted at the brand new Jones Library venue space in the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows. This event could not have been a more timely occasion as we celebrate females across the globe with Women's History Month and International Women's Day. 

We'd argue that being a career focused female already has it's challenges, but navigating how to be both nice and successful is truly an art, not a science. The transition between drawing hard lines in the sand and being a kind, inspiring female leader has its complexities. We've all had days when we return home from a work meeting and are met with conflicting internal dialogue of, "Did I just get steamrolled or was I too aggressive?"

Fran's book “deconstructs the negative perception of ‘niceness’ that many women struggle with in the business world. If women are nice, they are seen as weak and ineffective, but if they are tough, they are labeled a bitch. The book is a refreshing dose of forward-looking feminism that will resonate with smart, professional women who know what they want and are looking for real advice to take their career to the next level without losing themselves in the process.”
