ne of the premiere hotels built in the 1920’s, The Benjamin Royal Sonesta New York represents the early evolution of skyscraper design in New York City. The hotel’s special character and aesthetic have contributed to its value as part of the city’s development, heritage, and cultural characteristics, becoming an official New York City landmark in 2017. Design
The Benjamin was fully redesigned in 2012 by Lauren Rottet of the international architecture and design firm Rottet Studio and restyled in partnership with Benjamin Sleep Expert Dr. Rebbeca Robbins to create a personalized, soothing and residential glamorous feel. Originally designed as an apartment hotel with wind-swept terraces to entertain, The Benjamin now boasts a distinctly residential feel with up-to-the-minute artistic elements throughout, inspiring guests to consider it more personal pied-à-terre than hotel.
Now a New York City Landmark, the boutique hotel promises to assist guests to make the best of their stay with thoughtful services and amenities including the Les Clefs d'Or Concierge and The Benjamin's comprehensive sleep program.
