Food, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars & Lounges
- Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
- Island Brasserie
For centuries, seafaring voyagers left an indelible mark on Bermuda’s cuisine. Trade routes traversed the Atlantic, blending Old World traditions with those of the New World and West Indies. Reflecting these rich and diverse culinary influences, the resort’s signature restaurant delivers a contemporary take on island comfort food, placing emphasis on spices and time-honored cooking methods. Drawing from land and sea, locally caught fish, fresh seasonal harvests and artisanal products feature prominently on the menu.
Vibrant and informal, the Island Brasserie takes its inspiration from a colonial-style home. Antique brass detailing and Gerard Henderson’s iconic hand-painted murals pay homage to Bermuda’s seafaring heritage. Indoors, the restaurant offers a relaxed and inviting setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Outside, a terrace provides captivating views of Harrington Sound during the day and fireside warmth in the evening.
Sul Verde
Located at the Clubhouse, Sul Verde brings the warmth and spirit of Southern Italy to the fairways. In an open and convivial setting, the heritage and simple, authentic flavors of Campania are celebrated in signature dishes such as Spaghetti alle Vongole, Ravioli Capresi, and Zeppole di San Giuseppe. Guests enjoy delectable cheeses, pastas, breads and sausages which are lovingly prepared in house using the finest ingredients. The mood is relaxed and genuine—reminiscent of a classic Italian family dinner.
The sense of tradition carries over into the bar where refreshing aperitivos, homemade Italian liqueurs, grappas and wines from the south of Italy dominate an exciting menu. The restaurant also offers al fresco dining on an expansive terrace surrounded by stunning views of the golf course and Castle Harbour.
Beach Club Restaurant
The Beach Club Restaurant delivers a marketplace-style selection of the finest local and imported seafood in a casually sophisticated oceanfront setting. Overlooking Bermuda’s beautiful South Shore and the Atlantic’s endless horizon, the seasonal open-air restaurant opens to the pink sands of the island’s largest private beach. Rolling waves, salt-kissed sea breezes and succulent marine flavors contribute to an immersive sensory experience.
Enveloped in an understated beach house atmosphere, guests savor the bounty of the sea which is prepared using simple techniques to preserve the character and quality of the ingredients.
Specializing in rosé wines, Champagne, tequila and classic frozen cocktails, the Beach Club’s bars serve up refreshing drinks which pair nicely with the restaurant’s coastal menu and appeal to those relaxing along the beach or at the club’s two pools. - Bars & Lounges:
- Conservatory Bar & Lounge
Set just off the lobby, the Conservatory Bar & Lounge serves as the lively heart of the resort. With its twin fireplaces, hand-painted floors and beamed ceilings, the venue pairs British heritage with a modern sensibility. Here, guests enjoy an array of handcrafted cocktails enhanced with fresh botanicals, house-made infusions and the latest mixology techniques. Gin, the quintessential British spirit, takes center stage, evoking both nostalgia and invention.
The bar opens to an enchantingly rustic atrium courtyard outfitted with comfortable seating to encourage relaxation and socializing. During the day, the airy, luminous space is the perfect setting for morning coffee and afternoon tea in view of Castle Harbour. In the evenings, an elegant and intimate atmosphere unfolds under festive lights.
Tucker’s Bar
Located in the Manor House next to the Island Brasserie, Tucker’s Bar is dedicated to rum—the liquid gold of empires, adventurers and buccaneers. While the bartenders don’t mind serving a fine wine or Pimms Cup, they’re inclined to pour, mix and elaborate on the history of the island’s beloved spirit.
As a colonial port-of-call, Bermuda developed a fancy for rum cocktails. Throughout the day and into the evening, Tucker’s Bar serves up the classics, including the Dark ‘N Stormy, Bermuda Rum Swizzle and Yellow Bird. Relaxed and highly social, the bar offers a menu of light snacks and an extensive library of rare and aged rums from around the world. Guests are encouraged to explore the spirit’s illustrious past and sample sipping rums at regular tasting sessions.
Bar Sul Verde
Handsome and relaxed, Bar Sul Verde is situated at the Clubhouse overlooking picturesque Castle Harbour. Offering traditional pub-style fare, the restaurant is the perfect option for a quick meal before or after hitting the links as well as a relaxed setting for drinks and light bites in the afternoon. The menu features Neapolitan-style pizzas, burgers, paninis, salads and hearty British classics such as Bangers and Mash.
