For something au naturale (and financially-savvy), you won’t find a more beautiful venue than the steep cliffs, pristine turquoise waters, and pink sands of Jobson's Cove – one of the most photographed beaches in all of Bermuda. The beach can be booked through the Department of Parks.
Bermuda’s ‘Pink Palace’ can accommodate up to 1,000 guests inside the opulent Harbourview Ballroom (an 8,400 square feet ballroom overlooking the Hamilton Harbour). For something al fresco, there’s Sinky Bay, a private cove on South Beaches, exclusive to guests of the property however, what really sets this venue apart for brides-to-be is its optimal location – just steps from Hamilton's versatile shops, restaurants and beaches, which means your guests will have the opportunity to truly explore Bermuda during a weekend away here.
These picturesque Gothic ruins built in 1874 are an excellent choice for history-loving couples who want their special day to include plenty of open-air elegance. From the dramatic archways and weathered grey stone to the tropical foliage, this hidden wonder located in the historic Town of St. George promises an incredible and memorable outdoor ceremony.
St. Peter’s Church is the oldest Anglican church still in use in the Western Hemisphere. Nuptials here offer the chance to be wed amongst an incredible collection of relics on display, from communion silver to shipwreck salvage. Even the altar is museum-worthy, having been hand-carved back in 1615. Be sure to take your wedding photos in front of St. Peter’s stately front doors, which are one of the most iconic landmarks in Bermuda.
It’s not everyday a property can accommodate a ceremony inside a cellar where 3,000 bottles of fine wine fill the walls from floor to ceiling. For celebrations of up to 18 guests, Rosewood Bermuda will create a candle lit experience inside its famed rum room. But don’t worry, if it’s something a little larger you’re after, try the Croquet Lawn, which can accommodate up to 120 guests. When scoping out the property to see if it’s a fit for your big day, be sure to ask about Rosewood’s The Perfect Match experiences, which throws in goodies such as a romantic private dinner or champagne and flowers upon arrival for newlyweds.
All aboard the Spirit of Bermuda, a replica of a traditional Bermuda sloop, for weddings of 50 or less people. Sail around the clear waters of Bermuda while tying the knot surrounded by your absolute closest friends and family. Insider tip: Arrange for any catering or bar services independently and ahead of time, although boat staff can make recommendations.
This 19th-century Georgian mansion is located within the National Museum of Bermuda at Royal Naval Dockyard. One of its most outstanding features is its dramatic wrap-around porches, which can host up to 150 people for dinner and has incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean. Perfect for those couples looking for plenty of old warm charm and a side of stunning vistas.
This private, members-only beach club is located off the south shores of Bermuda. With 26 sprawling acres, the property’s many versatile venues can accommodate ceremonies ranging from five all the way up to 300 people. Make it an intimate and memorable affair by taking your bridesmaids to the resort’s spa, which is set inside a breathtaking grotto brimming with stalagmites and stalactites. Located on top of a hill overlooking the ocean, Heydon Trust Church is an intimate (seats a max of 25 guests) location for a classic church wedding. Although the church is tiny (it’s the smallest in all of Bermuda), the property is not – Heydon Trust sits on 43 acres of lush gardens.
Known for its sleek, angular design, The Loren is perfect for those couples who love when a modern aesthetic meets an island sensibility. Choose from three separate event spaces, which can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 200 guests. But to really make a statement, get married on The Disk: a dramatic circular platform that looks as if it’s floating above water which can accommodate up to 200 guests. On-site catering includes island-influenced dishes such as the catch of the day and creamy fish chowder.
