Venue Features
The Scene:
At the Southern tip of the Andes in Chile lies Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most impressive sights in the Southern Hemisphere and home to some of the world’s most classic trekking routes. Ecocamp is spotted in this park, which is located in Chile’s southernmost and largest region, Magellanes and Chilean Antarctica. The park encompasses ancient forests, glaciers, lakes, rivers and fjords, and fauna including guanacos, foxes, pumas and a diverse array of birds. The park draws in approximately 100,000 visitors each year who visit the Paine Towers, Los Cuernos, French Valley and Grey Glacier. The W Trek and the Paine Circuit are popular routes.
Design:
The design premise behind EcoCamp was to create accommodation where travellers could connect with nature and explore Torres del Paine without leaving a footprint. At EcoCamp guests are immersed in their natural surroundings, hearing the wind race through the sky while looking up at the stars through the ceiling of their cozy dome. All natural light and heat energy is utilised and electricity comes from hydro and solar energy. Domes blend naturally into their surrounding environment and flora and fauna continues to flourish on EcoCamp ground.
Standout Venue Features:
EcoCamp has gained an award-winning reputation for its eco-friendly policies and innovative use of green technology. We are leaders in environmentally responsible travel to areas of fragile natural resources and we minimise the footprint of every visitor in Torres del Paine National Park through our careful development strategy and implementation of green technology.
EcoCamp’s yoga dome will host daily half hour stretching session each morning for all EcoCamp program participants who want to participate and stretch their muscles before their day’s hike or nature walk!

Eats & Drinks
Food, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars & Lounges
Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
EcoCamp has a restaurant which has a sophisticated menu fusing Chilean, Altiplanic, Patagonian, and international food. The fusion dishes allow you to taste new flavours and aromas, mixing well-known ingredients like rice and potatoes, with typical ingredients from Chile which form staples for the native inhabitants, such as purple potatoes, quinoa, patasca from the Altiplano (a stew made of tripe, veal, potatoes, corn and peppers), and molasses made from the meaty, sweet fruit found on northern Chile’s chañar trees.
Bars & Lounges:
A new Bar Dome is being launched this season! A very nice place where you can try a good chilean wine and share good times with people. Sometimes even live music may surprise you and call the party for the night. Try our delicious coktail Calafate Sour, our local Magallanic beer and enjoy the espectacular view.
