Venue Setting

WYTHE HOTEL was created inside of a former cooperage built in 1901. It is located in Brooklyn’s vibrant Williamsburg neighborhood, on the waterfront, just minutes from Manhattan via taxi, subway or ferry. All of the inherent character of the building has been meticulously preserved--its heavy yellow pine beams, pine ceilings, original masonry and brick walls, arched windows and cast-iron columns are all original.

Inside Scoop

Our Screening Room has a secret underground cocktail bar, and the line of hotel rooms (307, 407, 507) sit behind our iconic "HOTEL" sign on the front of the building's inverted corner - so you get a view of reclaimed vintage signs, and a bustling Brooklyn corner. Venue Features
The Scene:
Wythe Hotel was created inside of a former cooperage, or barrel factory, which was built in 1901. It is located on a vibrant corner in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The ground floor boasts a lobby, the restaurant Reynard, a meticulously converted historic Main Hall, and a European style outdoor garden, all featuring original pine, exposed brick, masonry, and elegant detailing.
Design:
Our ceilings are all original 200 year old heavy pine beams.
Standout Venue Features:
The menu of our restaurant, Reynard, changes everyday based on what is seasonally available. All of the catering comes from Reynard, meaning our guests get incredibly fresh, seasonal, restaurant quality food at all of our events.
Extra Perks:
We have custom furniture built for nearly all of our spaces, fully outfitted AV, and all coordination is done in-house. We can truly do anything for you in-house, so your coordination with outside vendors will be limited.
Awards & Notables We have been featured in The New York Times at least four times, Vogue all over the world, Conde Nast Traveler’s 2013 Hot List, Travel + Leisure’s 2013 It List, Wallpaper Magazine’s 2012 Best Business Hotels List, and we were named Time Out New York’s Best New Boutique Hotel.

Eats & Drinks
Food, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars & Lounges
Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
Reynard, Wythe Hotel's in-house restaurant provides all of the catering for events. Each menu is carefully prepared  byt he Reynard Chef's with local, seasonal American dishes.
Bars & Lounges:

Lemon’s, the Wythe Hotel's rooftop bar is inspired by the sun-kissed shores of Italy. Like an alfresco dinner party on the Italian Coast- except here a view of the Mediterranean is replaced with the glittering Manhattan skyline.  The design builds off of the vibrant colors found in coastal Italy. Vintage Nectarine-hued damask wallpaper adorns the venue’s interior walls, complemented by sunset colored cushions on walnut wooden banquettes. An outdoor bar is nestled under a 40-foot retractable awning, and the entire party will take place underneath colorful umbrellas and strings of fairy lights.

Wythe Hotel

80 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY, United States

If you've been following along with Jove Meyer's Planners Dining Club series here on The Venue Report, you're no stranger to the wild, creative and boundary-pushing insider dinners Jove and NYC's top event professionals bring to life month after month. With wedding season in full swing, PDC is taking a break until the rush of summer and fall weddings slows down. For the last dinner before our series break, we have quite the treat for you at one of our favorite Brooklyn venues, Wythe Hotel. Inspired by the sunset (seriously, wait until you see the likeness) and an approach of organized chaos, Jove designed an evening of color and warmth in a decidedly not-so-perfect fashion, the perfect transition as we head into summer.

We, of course, caught up with Jove about the entire evening including working with floral designer, Alexandra Abuza on the wild, overgrown floral installations carried throughout the space as well as a custom cocktail recipe from the Wythe Hotel team. And be sure to stay tuned at the end to hear about Jove's creative process and his tips for staying continuously inspired.

Wythe Hotel

The Wedding Artists Collective is composed of a crew of photographers who consistently take photos that are cooler than cute cat pics. And that is no easy feat.  They recently hosted a soiree at historical Brooklyn venue, Wythe Hotel. This renovated factory on the Brooklyn waterfront was originally built in 1901, and today is used as a glorious gathering space.
