We know it's hard to find one hotel that works for everyone; that's why we make it easy for you to find group rates and book blocks across a number of great hotels. Select a few favorites from a number of price points and star ratings. Your whole crew will be singing your praises.
My guests want different room types. Can we book multiple room types in a single block?
You bet! The Venue Report Travel team makes it easy to select the specific kinds of rooms, like double beds and penthouse suites. Select your preferences when you fill out your request and note preferences for room upgrades on the notes field.
My guests aren't all arriving at the same time. Can we have different room totals each night?
Yes! When submitting your request, you can provide notes and instructions on your preferences for how you want to divide up the total number of room nights during your stay. We’ll make sure hotels are aware of your requests when they bid for your block.
My guests are excited about staying at the same hotel. Will their rooms be next to each other?
Generally, hotels assign specific rooms day of. While we can't ensure that your rooms will be together, we recommend calling the hotel the day before to place a request for the block to be together. Make sure to let your Venue Report travel agent know your preferences and they will do the best to assist you.
I'd like to leave welcome bags in guest rooms. Is this possible?
Great idea! When submitting your request, provide notes and instructions on your preferences for your hotel. We will then ensure hotels are aware of your requests.
How do I let my guests know I've created room blocks for them?
Spread the good word on your custom wedding site and invitations. Don't know where to create your wedding website? Check out our friends at Celebration Wishes. Your Venue Report agent will also notify you or your planner as requested with an updated rooming list.
Room blocks make the wedding planning process feel complicated. Can I help guests find a location without blocking rooms?
If you don't need a dedicated block but still want to help your guests with their accommodations, we can provide a link to great rates at hotels of your choice that are close to your wedding venue. Simply add this link to your wedding website and let them choose where to stay while passing on great rates to your guests.
Help! My wedding is less than 3 months out. Can I still get a room block?
Yes! We can accommodate all kinds of timeframes. Let us know the date of your nuptials and we'll comb through our contact list to set you and your guests up with great rates near your celebration.

I don't know how many people will be traveling in our group yet. Can I still make a block?
Yes! Good news, you don’t need to know the exact number of rooms that you will need. A rough estimate will do just fine.
My guests are excited about staying at the same hotel. Will our rooms be right next to each other?
Generally, hotels assign specific rooms day of. While we can't ensure that your rooms are together in advance, we recommend calling your Venue Report travel agent or the hotel the day before you book to place a request for the block to be together. Make sure to let your hotel contact know your preferences and they will do their best to assist you.
What if I am going to book for my group, but want each individual guest to pay for their stay?
Not a problem! Simply book a group reservation with your credit card and indicate to the hotel in the group contract that you want each guest to pay for their own room. At the reservation cut-off date, you may need to indicate to the hotel the final number of rooms and nights your group needs. You would also need to send the hotel a rooming list so they can verify the guests in your party and assign rooms to them.
