The Waldara property is a family run, working farm of 800 hectares. Situated in the centeral west region of NSW, just past the Blue Mountains, Waldara takes advantage of some of the most beautiful, picturesque country side to be found in Australia. Think rolling green hills, paddocks dotted with happlily grazing animals, lakes, dams, rivers, gumtrees, roses, abundant wildlife and nothing but the sounds of nature around you. 

At the heart of the property is a lovingly maintained and gorgeously appointed events venue. With two stunning accommodation options, a purpose built reception hall, an elegant gazebo, 5 acres of manicured gardens, picturesque lake and jetty and the most amazing backdrop for photo’s, Waldara offers endless possibilities for your event or celebration.

Booked on an exclusive basis and offering complete privacy and seclusion, Waldara has been custom designed and thoughtfully equipped with all you require to ensure a flawless stay. Featuring two fully appointed farmhouses, the 'Homestead' and the 'Barn', with each sleeping 10 guests comfortably. You'll be surrounded by nothing but unspoilt countryside and an abundance of wildlife, laughter, family and friends. 

THE HOMESTEAD
The homestead has been perfectly renovated to incorporate modern luxury with antique country charm. With five bedrooms accommodating up to 10 guests in complete comfort, including a master bedroom with private ensuite. The homestead offers guests a fully equipped, spacious kitchen, a light filled, open plan living area with a cosy fireplace. Two and a half spacious bathrooms with underfloor heating, Double French doors along the entire northern side of the house that open onto sun drenched wrap around veranda with relaxed outdoor seating. Large Jacuzzi and wonderful views of the lake and country landscape. 

THE BARN
Situated a short walk across the manicured gardens, The Barn is a chic, modern take on the traditional log cabin. It is strikingly characterful with huge pitched roof, entirely wooden exterior and interior and leather and taxidermy styling details, you feel like you're walking into a refined hunting lodge. Architecturally designed to take full advantage of the breathtaking views the use of glass has been maximised to fill the spacious, open plan living area with natural light. Accommodating up to 10 guests the barn offers a fully equipped kitchen, two and a half bathrooms including ensuite off the master bedroom. Wood fireplace and an entertainment area containing a 12 seat, handcrafted, solid oak dining table, perfect for friendly feasts, gourmet banquets or a personalised degustation.

The Scene:
Even as you drive into the Waldara property along the poplar tree lined avenue, you will instantly feel the calm and relaxation that comes with getting out of the city. Some curious cows may wander down to the fence line to greet you, or you may spy some cheeky lambs playing in the paddocks. With 800 hectares of breathtaking countryside, tastefully rustic architecture and stunning gardens, the minute you arrive at Waldara you know an extraordinary experience awaits you.
Design:
Waldara has been carefully designed to compliment and utilize the natural surroundings. Huge pitched roofs, lots of windows to let in natural light, open plan communal spaces and rustic wooden details are common design motifs throughout the property. 

Some of the flowers you will find in the garden include blossoms, roses, tulips, lavender, rhododendron, daffodils and pansies. 
 
Standout Venue Features:

At the heart of Waldara is our stunning event space, built in the style of a big rustic, wooden, corrugated iron barn, but with all the modern luxuries you need to ensure a flawless event. Some of the Barn’s features include: Hand made wooden trestle tables– Heating to ensure the perfect temperature all year round – Caterers kitchen – Wrap around veranda – Bar area – Room for a band and dance floor  – 4 toilets – Disabled access – A beautiful pitched roof with rafters perfect for hanging florals and decorations from. 

There are so many other areas around the property to be utilized for your celebration. The lawn in front of the Homestead has delightful views and is a lovely place to serve drinks and canapés. The gorgeous gazebo situated on a tree-laced island in the middle of the lake is perfect for a wedding ceremony or afternoon tea party. The jetty over the lake is ideal for sunset photos. Once the sun goes down you can relax with a wine around our impressive outdoor fire pit. Have a hit of tennis on the tennis court or relax in the warm Jacuzzi if the weather is cool. Go for a walk around the grounds or if your feeling adventurous jump on a quad bike and take a tour of the entire property, watch out for wombat holes and don't forget to visit the resident Platypus who lives down at the weir on your way.

15 wooden trestel tables, chairs, crockery, cutelry, glaswear and napery is provided for 150 guests.
