Venue Setting
This urban beach bungalow record store is nestled between the swanky shops of Abbot Kinney in Venice, CA. Built in the 1900s and updated in the '20s, the bungalow was originally a house that was converted into retail as the neighborhood vibe shifted. The space features a large outdoor patio with built-in custom seating and outdoor speakers. It is completed with a few palm trees and a small deck area leading up to the two sets of french doors. The interior of the space is an open floor plan with original hardwood floors, a curated selection of current vinyl records on each wall and a wall covered entirely with speakers. A long and narrow "listening table" (complete with turntables hooked up to headphones and a supply of ready-to-listen-to records) leads to the back wall where a neon sign floats on the back, black wall "Let's get physical." There is one, small restroom, a separate room in the back for record storage and a beautiful upscale side room dedicated to turntable systems and speakers. There is a parking space located behind the building in the alley for easy loading and unloading.
