We provide an extended wedding experience that allows you and your guests to immerse yourselves into the weekend with a customized itinerary in a comfortable environment. We host all your wedding events in one place, so you never feel rushed and can wake up rested on your wedding day.

We pride ourself on offering the absolute best service to our clients from the second you step onsite for your tour. That’s why we include assisted planning through your personal wedding coach, plus coordination of your weekend’s events within your wedding package. You will always feel supported every step of the way when working with The Maples Estate!

It is such an amazing calm waking up at The Maples Estate. Each window calls you outdoors for a beautiful morning walk around the property. The grand veranda is also an incredible space to spend a beautiful summer evening overlooking the hills and valley.

Venue Features

The scene:: The Maples Estate is a 12 acre property which includes a stately historic colonial home built in 1855, a large pond, Schoharie Creek frontage, multi-tiered barn complex, grand verandas and in-ground swimming pool. The home once housed a three season B&B and was the former home of Schoharie's best known local author Don Cameron Shaffer who wrote Smokefires in Schoharie.
Design:: The 1855 colonial farmhouse onsite was renovated to reveal the original historic features with a modern farmhouse aesthetic. The grand veranda offers a taste of southern charm with blue ceilings against bright white colonial columns. The house is quite large with 4,500 square foot of space offering plenty of areas to entertain and room for up to 17 guests to sleep comfortably.
Standout venue features:: The Maples Estate specializes in extended weekend weddings with event rental including a three night stay for up to 17 guests in the stately colonial farmhouse on site. You are welcome to hold your rehearsal dinner, welcome event and a farewell brunch in addition to your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception with plenty of spaces to celebrate all weekend long. Switch up tradition and make a truly uniqe wedding weekend! The property offers a wide range of photo opps and with an open vendor policy as well as in house event planning & design or assisted planning through a wedding coaching. We will help you plan the unique wedding of your dreams.
