Meet in the lobby each day at 9:00am for a behind-the-scenes look at the Torrey Pines State Reserve. Ask for the Drugstore Burger at The Grill; it was voted San Diego’s best. Be sure to ask for a Lodge Lemonade at the A.R. Valentien lounge. It’s not on the menu but it is the resort’s best kept secret.

Arriving guests are greeted at The Lodge at Torrey Pine's grand porte-cochère by doormen attired in kilted Scottish dress. The public areas of the resort welcome guests with numerous fireplaces, large mantelpieces, overstuffed couches, comfortable leather chairs and amazing views of the Torrey Pines Golf Course and the Pacific Ocean beyond.

Designed with the look and feel of a residence, The Lodge at Torrey Pines authentically reflects the California Craftsman style of architecture, featuring a natural color palette, graceful wing-like rooflines, shingle and sandstone-bluff exteriors, clinker-brick masonry, rich Jatoba woodwork and natural stone surfaces. With its post-and-beam construction, expansive spaces, respect for the natural landscape and integration of indoor/outdoor living, The Lodge at Torrey Pines pays homage to the California Craftsman style of architecture of the early 1900s.

The Lodge presents two distinctive San Diego dining options: A.R. Valentien and The Grill. A.R. Valentien is our top-rated signature restaurant featuring a magnificent setting, superior cuisine and elegant décor. The Grill offers a casual and convenient dining experience, along with The Bar, an ideal gathering place for friends and associates.

The Lodge is also home to a variety of culinary events, including our weekly Artisan Table, the annual Celebrate the Craft, Craft Food & Beer Series, and holiday specials. A. R. Valentien is home to Chef Jeff Jackson and most notably one of The Top 10 Farm-to-Table Restaurants!
Both of our restaurants, A.R. Valentien and The Grill, have a bar lounge area for casual cocktails and local, seasonal cuisine. Enjoy the gorgeous pictures of the Lodge at Torrey Pines. Both restaurants offer patio seating and indoor comforts. A.R. Valentien is situated to overlook the 18th hole of the golf course while the Grill & Bar is nestled next to the putting greens.
