We have 49 all-suite, hacienda styled guest-rooms with private terraces, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, over sized bath tubs, steam showers, walk-in closets, living areas and more. The rooms range from 1,000 square feet in size. Tucked away on the property is also a 5,000-square-foot Hacienda, featuring three bedrooms with wood burning fireplaces and private baths, full kitchen and a large backyard garden and pool area with an enclosed cabana.

The Croquet Lawn:
Surrounded by beds of hibiscus and bougainvillea and shaded by towering palms and California live oaks, the 10,000-square foot croquet lawn has played host to events from simply elegant to stunningly lavish for up to 500 guests. The lawn may be tented or events can take place in an open-air setting under the stars.

The Hacienda:
This private 5,000-square foot, three-bedroom villa is perfect for intimate weddings up to 200 guests, with a lush backyard garden filled with beautiful flowers and an iviting pool area.

The Sunrise Room:
Named for the morning sunlight that floods the space, this room is the epitome of Rancho Valencia style. The open-beamed ceiling and turquoise fireplace create a warm and cozy setting for luncheons and dinners. The sunrise room can accomodate up to 40 guests for meals, and with the addition of the adjacent sunrise terrace, up to 200 guests.

The Sunrise Patio:
This private courtyard is the perfect setting for wedding ceremonies. The bleached-wood trellis adorned with climbing white roses is picture perfect for exchanging vows. Flowerbeds overflowing with more white roses, bougainvillea and hibiscus, a bubbling fountain and saltillo tiles underfoot create a magical setting in which to gather family and friends.

The Rose Garden:

The Terrace Ballroom & Patio:
The terrace ballroom offers intimacy and versatility, with French doors that open onto a covered terrace framed by a series of arches and set off by vibrant bougainvillea. This 2,000-square foot space can accommodate up to 200 when joined with the terrace patio and features expansive lighting options and versastile seating arrangements, as well as a foyer for greeting guests.

The Valencia Lawn:
Situated in one of the most beautiful gardens at Rancho Valencia, this expanse of gently rolling lawn, surrounded by our Mediterranean casitas and beautiful coral trees, makes for a magical event site.

The Board Room:
The board room offers vaulted, high-beamed ceilings and high-backed executive chairs, set around a rich mahogany table. French doors with plantation shutters that let in natural light open on to a private patio where outdoor seating is available. The executive conference table can seat up to 16 people.

Veladora serves fresh, handcrafted and simply delicious Coastal Ranch cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All in an inviting hacienda atmosphere, where sun-dappled afternoons and stunning valley views fade into captivating candlelit evenings. Our talented team of chefs let the true flavors of seasonal ingredients take center stage on a menu that blends the area\'s bounty of fruits and vegetables with unique pairings of seafood, poultry and varieties of meats. Sample slow poached Maine lobster with lemon vinaigrette, burratta cheese, and pickled and roasted beets with avocado from a local farm.
Bars & Lounges:
The Pony Room is more than just a bar, serving rustic American cuisine with simple dishes that are simply fresh, including Maine lobster sliders with preserved local lemon, herb aïoli and butter lettuce on brioche buns, and skirt steak asada tacos with a serrano citrus glaze. Dishes are uniquely presented on items like reclaimed wine barrel boards, cast iron and slate. With Old World furnishings, enlarged windows and al fresco dining among fireplaces, guests can enjoy breathtaking views in a casually comfortable atmosphere.

When you have a new team member, you hope you’re not only going to be great co-workers but possibly friends. How do you know if this new teammate is going to be a fit not only for the company but IRL? For starters, you could look at their wedding. When The Venue Report team found out our newest confidante was married mere months ago at one of our favorite San Diego venues, Rancho Valencia, our eyes lit up with excitement. Turns out, she’s a gal after our own hearts by styling her wedding full of cacti, lots of texture and the prettiest wash of neutrals you’ve ever seen. 

We chatted with Alana about the day, her inspiration and her relationship that shaped this ultimate Southern California wedding. Guests sipped on local craft beer, had breakfast for dessert by way of gourmet donuts and took in the sun going down over the Pacific Ocean while they celebrated Alana and Brennan’s love. See how our newest work bestie got married in magical style, collaborated with some of our favorite event creatives and has one heckuva story to go along with it.
