- The Scene:
- People say walking into Mable's transports them out of New York City. The authentic charm of handmade communal tables, mismatched wooden and metal chairs purchased at flea markets across the country and barn wood straight from a farm in upstate NY evoke the feelings of nostalgia, warmth and the lure of the South! The sprawling horseshoe bar has the most comfortable stools in town where you can hang comfortably for hours- conversing with locals and tourists alike. There are 2 TVs available and also a small area that can be used for a stage with a PA system. The string lights make things festive and the big open kitchen invites guests to experience the smoky savory scents of our wood smoker and the hustle and bustle of delicious BBQ getting served up that promises to satisfy.
- Design:
- The beauty of Mable's is in the details. The large wood and iron chandelier, the taxidermy deer head (given to the owners as a wedding gift) and the pink tiled bathroom full of tchotchkes that will remind you of Grandma's bathroom of the past. Mable's is versatile, we love to mix high and low! The rough wooden table covered with white lace table runners, candlelight and gorgeous vases of beautiful white flowers transforms a country honky-tonk into a warm glowing intimate dining room. We pride ourselves on bringing all the elements together to appeal to many tastes and budgets.
Some of our couples that marry at Mable's span the states- One is from Brooklyn and One is from Texas- we are the perfect combo of both, so getting married at Mable's really symbolizes the union! - Standout Venue Features:
- Mable's is all about delicious food and amazing cocktails! Featured on the Food Network, The Discovery Channel and The Travel Channel- and lauded by The New York Times, Village Voice and Saveur mag, Mable's really made an impression. Our Authentic barbecue is slow-smoked in house and served with handmade sides from scratch. The recipes are the owner's own grandmother's after all. Grandma Mable (Nan) was known to cook for days before the holidays- getting up at the crack of dawn to ensure the sauce was cooked long enough, the collards weren't rushed and the beans got just right. And don't get us started on the pies!
Our food is love, you feel it, you experience and if you're like many of our regulars, you come back for it time and time again. It is the epitome of crave-worthy. How many weddings have you been to where the guests come back for seconds, thirds and fourths?!
Our bar is a mix of beautiful craft beers, Kentucky Bourbon and all the other spirits you could want are hand-picked to create the perfect selection of bar offerings. Our cocktails are hand made- muddled and mixed with precision, care and creativity. Bring us your specialty cocktails or we will create them for you. Who says you only have to drink beer with barbecue? - Extra Perks:
- Mable's prices are all-inclusive of bar, appetizers, entrees and desserts! We also have a stage with a built-in PA system and microphones if needed. A decoration package adds flowers, candles, linens and elevated glassware. Off-site catering is also available- we can customize our menu to many different tastes including Vegan and Vegetarian. Ask us about our Vegan Sloppy Joe! Seen on The Food Network.
