Lunga House is an enchanting Scottish Country House in Argyll, Scotland. Originally a 16th century Tower House, it has been castellated, turreted and set on green lawns amidst tangled woodland. The house benefits from stunning views of the sea stretching from the Corryvreckan to Loch Melford encompassing the islands of Jura, Scarba, Luing, Shuna and beyond to the mountains of Mull.

An event at Lunga is all about you. The exclusive use means you can wine and dine your guests and have the party of your dreams in this amazingly remote setting. Celebrate until the small hours and have your guests leave well fed, well watered and wobbly kneed from dancing the night away. Lunga House provides the ideal setting for a special occasion, wedding or dinner party or a quiet retreat where you can enjoy walking, fishing, horse riding or simply relaxing.

Our extensive grounds are beautiful. Surrounding the house are lovely gardens and wooded areas that create the perfect spot for your ceremony...perhaps a champagne reception before your event, afternoon tea or a lovely garden party. Inside, you are welcome to host your event wherever you like – in our ballroom, breakfast room or dining room.

We can seat up to 100 guests in our magnificent ballroom and use our traditional grand dining room for smaller numbers. You are more than welcome to decorate rooms in whichever way you would like and our chef would work with you to ensure your menu reflects the food you enjoy!

The house is wildly romantic and boasts scenery overlooking the Hebridean Isles on the West Coast of Scotland. Guests can take advantage of the pier, sculpted bar inside a rock, an abundance of gardens and of course, the house itself which is quirky, fun and great for a good party! Lunga House offers so many great photo opportunities inside and out and our flexibility makes anything possible!

Our staff provide complimentary lifts to guests staying within the area and with so much accommodation nearby, it's great having your entire party so close together!

Besides you food and beverages, anything we have in the house is yours to use. All tables, chairs, table linen, crockery, seat covers and sashes are yours to use and we have acquired an abundance of goodies over the years including tall silver candelabras, vintage tea cups and saucers, jars by their dozens, mirrors, bunting and much more!

This section provides insights into our diverse culinary and social offerings.
Although we have several lovely little places in the area, Lunga has the luxury of being able to provide as much or as little as you like by our inhouse caterers. Enjoy a night at our local pub perhaps when you arrive and then have your guests well watered and fed at Lunga the day of your event.

If you're not wanting the celebration to end, perhaps stay on the following day for a lovely afternoon tea in the gardens or a hog roast perhaps...
We have our specially made bar which is pulled out of a secret passageway in the Drawing Room which serves all your standard bar drinks and much more! We can also make special cocktails for any event in vintage tea cups, jars, martini glasses or whichever other vessel you may choose.
