La Valise Tulum, a small and exclusive luxury boutique hotel, is the embodiment of a dream for its creator, Yves Naman. During his travels, nothing could compare to the wild and enchanting spirit of Tulum, and Yves longed for a place that felt like home. In 2017, determined to create a unique and unforgettable hotel experience, Yves purchased a small beach house and transformed it into an 11-room luxury boutique hotel, La Valise Tulum. At La Valise Tulum, Yves aimed to elevate local Mayan craftsmanship and create a sense of wonder and magic through artful design. The hotel's style is reminiscent of a Robinson Crusoe-inspired museum, offering guests a one-of-a-kind experience unlike any other.
In 2022, La Valise Tulum expanded to include 11 additional jungle suites, La Valise SPA, and La Valise Store, enhancing the overall guest experience.

The decor of La Valise captures the natural mysticism of Tulum while perpetuating the eccentricity of the La Valise name. The combination makes guests feel like they are hanging out in the beachfront living room of their most cultured, gypset, and affluent best friend. Respect is paid to the quality and beauty of local materials such as chukum, a stucco made from Mayan rubber trees, and re-imagined palapa thatched roofs. Woven reed lamps and tropical wood wall adornments look more like sculptures than accents. Every inch of La Valise, elevates local artisanal craftsmanship with its seasoned eye, giving it that je ne sais quoi of enchantment.
