The scene:
The Corte della Maestà is in a dominant position with unique and highly evocative views. It retains the charm of centuries of history: the ideal destination in which to bask in a peaceful environment and benefit from an unhurried lifestyle, a tranquil and authentic haven surrounded by an uncontaminated nature. Used by Bishop Ferdinando di Castello as an episcopal seminary between the Fifth and Sixth centuries.The Court has been faithfully restored in keeping with the Borgo’s historic and rural past, evoking the enchanting atmosphere of times gone by and maintaining fragments of it's antique frescoes. The building is adjacent to the episcopal seat that was active until 1685, with which it shares a large garden and orchard, a part of which is at the guests’ disposal. The Corte della Maestà’s rooms are tastefully furnished with antiques, their authenticity in strict harmony with the environment.
Design:
With regard to the Corte’s restoration, every possible effort has been made to safeguard the spirit of the era that the building still maintains, and that it wishes to conserve through the years ahead. The windows offer magnificent panoramic views of the garden and the breathtaking landscapes beyond.
Standout venue features:
We provide for our guests with a special dinner in the "Archbishop's winery" (bilt in the IV century), the wedding ceremony can be organized both in the ancient church and in our private gardner; we also provide a lake excursion (lake of Bolsena) using our boat (maximum 6 people), and carriage horse excursions.
