- The Scene:
- Canyon Run Ranch is emblazoned in gold on a black sign marking the entrance to a secluded, quiet farm nestled in the scenic Stillwater River Valley. The long gravel lane will take you across the one-lane bridge and over the Canyon Run creek. The spiral vegetable garden sprinkled with edible flowers grows between the creek and the lane. The impressive stone home sits on the hill to the right and the 1850's bank barn rests on the hill straight ahead. The attitude here is casual elegance, surrounded by rolling wooded hillsides and the gentle sound of water trickling down the limestone falls and through the Canyon Run offering gorgeous photo opportunities as it meanders through the property with a series of waterfalls for a spectacular backdrop.
And the barn... Imagine rays of sunlight filtering through cracks of weathered barn board, illuminating the historic structure of an 1850s barn. Warm, rustic wood tones set the stage for your imagination. Restored as a labor of love, the energy here is welcoming and unpretentious. - Design:
- Exclusive to the Bride and her attendants, the house at Canyon Run sets the tone for the day. Tidal blue doors greet you as you enter a unique, sunny, and welcoming space to prepare for a memorable day. The bride and her attendants enjoy the use of a stone-walled dressing room with a wooden church pew, daybed and multiple mirrors and a spacious bathroom with plenty of natural light. This sunny space offers views of the lane as well as a view of the path leading up to the woods allowing you to watch in anticipation as your guests walk up to the ceremony site.
The groomsmen have their own space, the former stalls in the lower level of the bank barn complete with mirrors, a washroom, and places to hang their clothes. The Groom's Quarters are spacious and cool, offering a fun approach to the preparations for the big day. - Standout Venue Features:
