Design:

Design architects Deborah Berke Partners created a space that is both historic and contemporary, respecting the character of the 100-year-old former Metropole Hotel, while designing to exhibit the work of living artists. The property’s public and gallery spaces are clean and minimalist with cooler tones and polished concrete floors, while the restaurant offers a warm and lively space with historic mosaic tile floors and copper and wood surfaces, all centered around the custom-built, wood-burning fireplace. Guest rooms, also designed by Deborah Berke Partners, have custom designed furniture and a distinctly residential feel. Throughout the property, details such as original molding and plaster provide glimpses into the historical significance of the building.

Room blocks are available for out-of-town guests, with special rates available for groups of 10 or more. 21c is also home to unique amenities. Treat yourself to some pre-event pampering at our rooftop spa overlooking downtown Cincinnati. Custom welcome gifts can be arranged for your guests through the 21c Museum Shop. No reason to rush through your wedding photos – your guests will be occupied exploring the art-filled museum galleries.

Metropole restaurant features dishes cooked in a custom-built, wood-burning hearth, with a menu focused on seasonal ingredients, local purveyors and simple, flavorful preparations. The menu offers a variety of hearth roasted meats, fish, vegetables and grains with a selection of house made charcuterie that changes regularly. Metropole’s innovative cocktail program is conceived with the same care, using seasonality and the restaurant’s hearth as a source of inspiration. The beverage menu also features a well-edited selection of American and international craft brews, bourbon and a smart selection of old and new world wines.
