- Pyrmont is an inner city harbour side suburb and used to be the dock area of Sydney. 1888 Hotel a boutique hotel, repurposed from a heritage listed property built as a wool store.
- Design:
- Entering the building along the same path that the horse and carts used to transport the huge bales of wool, guests step into the sun drenched lobby with its soaring atrium. The exposed original iron bark beams have been carefully saved and compliment the exposed brick and mid century styled furniture.
- Standout Venue Features:
- The Reception team have a wealth of knowledge on the more traditional favourite experience but also up to the minute "it" spots. There is a creative cocktail menu or the barmen are adept are making something specifically designed for you.

- Food, Restaurants, Cafes:
- The Eatery is located on the lobby level under the soaring atrium and surrounded by the original iron bark beams and exposed brick of the original wool store. Serving seasonal food, sourced locally the emphasis is on uncomplicated, wholesome meals for breakfast and dinner. Many of the dishes are home made, including the hash browns, baked beans and granola. The granola is so popular it is shipped to our guests all over the world.
- Bars & Lounges:
- The Bar is located adjacent to The Eatery and is an ideal spot for a refreshment throughout the day, a pre-dinner drink or a night cap. The Bar has an extensive range of boutique Australian Beers and a carefully curated local menu. Happy Hour for 5-7pm is great way to start a fun filled evening.
