We’ve taken some of the guesswork out of finding the latter element, and today we’re sharing theater spaces, music venues and party spots that’ll take your event to that next level. Whether it’s a life goal to see your name in flashing marquee lights or your event requires a massive ballroom with a red carpet for arrivals, we’ve got plenty of spaces where you and yours can party like rockstars.

Located in the heart of Richmond, this Italian Renaissance venue sits right across the street from the convention center. The National dates back to 1923 and features architectural details throughout that are reminiscent of another era. There’s space here for an event of up to 1,500 guests, with a theater, multiple lounge spaces and seven bars available.
For an outdoorsy, festival vibe at your event, the amphitheater at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga might be your jam. Surrounded by vineyards, this spot is an easy getaway from San Francisco or the Silicon Valley and can host up to 2,600 guests.
Have you heard? Art Deco is seriously trending for 2019 and El Rey Theatre is a perfect reflection of the glam look. Home to one of the most ornate marquees in LA, your party crew will arrive onsite in style. Able to accommodate 400-750 people for a cocktail party or sit down dinner respectively, this 1936 Clifford Balch beauty has sweeping staircases, a VIP balcony lounge, and a grand ballroom equipped with a full stage.
Here, you can literally sit amongst the stars. The SAG Awards, Academy Awards and the GRAMMY’s have all been hosted at this iconic 1920s Moorish revival style venue in Los Angeles. In addition to the Shrine Auditorium, the Expo Hall and expansive outdoor area can be booked for private events of up to 6,300 guests. Whether you choose to roll out a red carpet is entirely up to you.
Ever wondered what it’d be like to see your name on the marquee of The Fonda Theatre? Your next major event could open up that opportunity. Once inside, velvet curtains, giant murals and colorful hallways create a setting that’s rich in character. In addition to a performance space and balcony, there’s also a rooftop courtyard and a prohibition-style speakeasy.
If you’ve ever been to a concert at The Regency in San Francisco, you may have found yourself wondering whether the beautiful Beaux-Art space can be cleared out for events. It most certainly can! If you’re planning an epic party for up to 2,100 guests, you can opt to use the ballroom, the lodge or the social hall depending on your group’s size and needs.
A complete restoration of this century-old theatre and ballroom was finished in 2018, embracing the beautiful historic details while suiting the needs of modern events. The Agora Theatre seats 2,000 guests across its tiered main floor, balconies and opera boxes. There’s a 500-capacity ballroom that also works well for a smaller soiree.
San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood is home to this hundred-year-old venue that can host up to 2,300 event attendees. The Warfield is an architectural stunner with ornate details throughout and a mural splashed across the top of the proscenium arch. For private events, you can take over the whole venue, or keep things a little more intimate by booking just the lower level.
What lies within the Arvest Bank Theatre is a fantastical sight to behold: gold leaf adorns nearly every visual surface and massive chandeliers hang from the tallest and most ornate ceilings in Kansas City. A private event here would undoubtedly feel luxurious and opulent, with up to 1,500 guests in attendance.
