We recently caught up with the team over at Geyser Peak Ranch to get the 411 on how one even goes about planning such an epic fête, and we enjoyed every last detail of the planning details they shared below. From getting the outdoor events crew at Shelter Co. on board to bringing in Stag Dining for catering and NOW Power Yoga for guided classes, here’s a glimpse at the behind-the-scenes action it took to create Elevate + Flow. Plus, a sneak peek of what’s to come from this creative, brilliant squad.

What inspired this gathering?
Geyser Peak Ranch in Sonoma County has been in the family for four generations. The property was first used as a sheep farm then a boy’s camp and finally a hunting lodge before transitioning into a luxurious members-only club on over 1,200 acres of California’s most diverse terrain. In fact, leading up to the Ranch was an old stagecoach road dating back to the 1850’s and was used as a main artery of transportation during the historic California Gold Rush. The protection and preservation of their land is essential for Geyser Peak Ranch, as is their commitment to exploring new ways of living well. Throughout the year, Geyser Peak Ranch hosts a variety of luxury lifestyle events; most known for their Elevate + Flow event, which is an intimate holistic healing retreat with a special focus on the transformative power of cannabis. The mind and body retreat promotes wellness, sustainable living and the desensitization of cannabis through thought leadership and community education.
To help guests fully embrace the beauty of their property, Geyser Peak Ranch partnered up with Shelter Co., the lifestyle brand specializing in off-the-grid luxury outdoor event experiences, who designed a chic ‘glampsite’ for this private retreat. Shelter Co.’s commitment to the preservation of natural resources and to environmental sustainability echoes that of Geyser Peak Ranch, resonating strongly with each special guest who enjoyed the event from high atop the Alexander Valley.
Who was invited and why?
We invited about 50 luxury lifestyle leaders, wellness influencers, tastemakers and professionals to gather and explore the best products in the luxury cannabis market. Guests were treated to an afternoon of relaxation, inspiring conversation and knowledge sharing between partners and friends; further shifting society’s perception around cannabis by exploring its healing and restorative powers.
What were some of the activities attendees participated in?
Guests enjoyed guided yoga from Susan Hauser of NOW Power Yoga, in a practice focused on centering the mind, body and soul. Afterwards, they enjoyed a specialty lunch prepared by Stag Dining and relaxed underneath Shelter Co.'s Sami tipi tent styled to perfection with floor cushions, bohemian flat weave rugs and lounge furniture - a haven nestled amongst the mountains. Their Amelia tent was also set up along the grassy nook for an alternative open-air lounge space. The afternoon continued with guided meditations and exploration of custom formula dose pens by Dosist and other premium cannabis brands curated by Ona.Life, the leader in concierge cannabis delivery. We had a variety of cannabis-infused snacks and beverages from our favorite brands for guests to enjoy and take home.
In fact, Geyser Peak Ranch sits atop geothermically active land which our on-site astrologer and shaman harnessed for the afternoon meditation and sound bath. Even Mother Nature, herself, seemed to want to participate by stirring up blustery winds and rain when the forecast called for sun.
Who were the partners that contributed to this?
Shelter Co. designed an inviting and stylish outdoor space with two of their custom canvas open-air tents, bespoke lounge furniture and accessories.
San Francisco’s Stag Dining treated friends to a menu inspired by the bounty of the season. Stag Dining was a perfect fit because of their focus on sustainable cuisine and farm-to-table philosophy.
