We’re all about the new new here at The Venue Report so when we received an invite to Holy Matcha’s opening party, we jumped at the opportunity to see this anticipated spot first hand. Situated in the heart of North Park, a trendy foodie neighborhood, Holy Matcha is ready to assume the title of San Diego’s newest “must know” place. Get your Instagram ready, this all pink and palm cafe couldn’t be more photo worthy with it’s marble counter, brass fixtures, velvet pink booth, and palm print wallpaper. Seriously ‘grammers, this place is a photo snapping oasis. Oh, and they serve some pretty darn good (and inventive) matcha concoctions. We sampled coconut matcha, lemonade matcha, and almond matcha while sushi was served and guests mingled and obsessed over the design. We even got an on-the-spot matcha making tutorial from the barista, Mahala.
The ladies of BayBird PR also gave us the exclusive that Holy Matcha is about to be San Diego’s hottest new venue for not only weekend visits but baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties and social events. No surprises here though as nothing rivals this unique, one-of-a-kind space in San Diego thus far. Talk about a matcha made in heaven.
