Calling all modern adventurers! Autocamp, Santa Barbara  was created for those of you that are inspired by the wanderlust and adventure of the great American road trip. Autocamp is an unparalleled urban camping experience that they have dubbed "Airstream Chic"

Their five handcrafted Airstream trailers will take you on a trip down memory lane and charm you with their reverence for the past while providing modern day luxurious amenities. Surrounding each suite is a beautiful mix of native landscaping, exotic fruit trees, bamboo, and potted succulents.

Whether road tripping cross country or journeying through the old world, these days are all about finding more authentic ways to experience the places we visit! The Santa Barbara Autocampis located in the real Santa Barbara. With established neighborhood joints and local dives at your doorstep – not to mention the breathtaking mountain views above – Midtown is about as Santa Barbara as you can get. Mix in a couple of beach cruisers, an outdoor grill and a bottle of local Pinot Noir, and you’ll be living like the locals do.

The Scoop

The airstreams are ideal for small celebrations like bridal showers, girl/guy getaways or bachelorette parties, because Autocamp works in harmony with the existing residents of the RV Park. Five vacant spaces at the park were filled with these renovated vintage Airstreams.

We think it would be ideal to rent out all five Airstreams at the same time for small gatherings. You can host an overnight weekend bridal/baby shower, girls/guys getaway or a bachelorette party! You can all gather to BBQ, drink, open gifts, and picnic on the grassy lawns right next to each airstream, then you and your gaggle of gals/guys can hop on the beach cruisers that come with the airstreams and ride into town! Finish off your night under the twinkling lights adorning the Oak tree, and relax in an Adirondack chair. Then go and bunk up with your bestie because each airstream accommodates up to four guests.

When day breaks, why not take your coffee onto the porch? Complimentary tea and coffee, and basic cooking supplies are provided in the pantry. The modern kitchen includes a convection-microwave oven, a cooktop, a refrigerator and a sink with purified water.

This lodging experience is also perfect for groups looking to take their party home. Many guests have rented out all five Airstreams for local weddings. It allows guests to hang out together, BBQ and relax in the patio area in front of each Airstream before and after the go to the venue to attend the event.  The Autocamp is centrally located, and is only a short drive away from just about anywhere in Santa Barbara.

PILLOW TALK:  In addition to having a heck of a fun time, you are ensured a comfortable experience here. You will rest your head upon quilted pillow-top mattresses, high thread count sheets, feather soft pillows, and snuggle into down comforters. Each sleeping nook or bedroom comes with a wall-mounted flat screen television with Blu-ray player for late nights (or long mornings).

SCRUB-A-DUB: In the bathrooms, you will be greeted by a selection of luxurious products from New York-based boutique cosmetics company (Malin+Goetz). After a day at the beach, nothing beats a rinse with their Grapefruit Face Cleanser and Rum Bar Soap. We bet you’ll think so too. Each bathroom comes stocked with fresh towels for up to four people and a hair dryer. Full-height, dual flush toilets come standard in all units.

BONUS ROUND:  Each airstream comes with a redwood deck and custom-designed patio, two Adirondack chairs, folding beach chairs, an outdoor electric grill, a grassy lawn, fast complimentary wireless internet, and free parking for one car plus ample street parking!

The popularity of backgammon surged in the 60's which makes it an ideal retro game to have for your guests as a welcome gift in their airstreams upon arrival!  This backgammon set is only $59.95 from CB2..  2. Every retro bridal shower or small shindig needs to have plastic pink flamingos in the grass. This is an inexpensive and fun girly way to channel the Americana vibe.  3. Vintage lawn folding chairs are a must. Get them in every color and set them out for your guests to lounge....  mid-century style.
