Commonwealth is the indoor London style brasserie that serves hearty meals for breakfast, brunch and dinner. Inside tip: Sunday brunch at Commonwealth includes elevated bottomless guava bellinis and a buffet plus specialty made-to-order dishes like spicy fried chicken and Bahamian-style Eggs Benedict. For added convenience, brunch includes complimentary valet parking .
For a handcrafted cocktail in a stylized old-world bar, head to the Manor Bar. The Library Lounge is a favorite for afternoon tea or a tipple served in a sunny space.
The Gatherings
With the easy access to Cable Beach and all the amenities available at Rosewood Baha Mar, we can easily imagine you celebrating anything from a birthday milestone to a bachelor(ette) party or a wedding at this spot. If you’re in it for something truly grand, you’ll want to check out the 600-guest capacity light filled Grand Salon. Otherwise, there are multiple smaller Salons, or you might find you’d rather take over The Rum Room for an intimate dinner party surrounded by leather, dark mahogany and premium bottles of rum.
The Activities
Think you’ll need more than a beautiful beach to keep you occupied on your dream vacation? Shop the boutiques and artisan shops along Nassau’s Bay Street and stop into the straw market for hand-woven hats, bags and baskets. Grab a drink at the island’s Bahama Brews and learn the history of local pirates, or head to Jon Watling’s Distillery if you’re interested in local rum and tropical gardens. Take a wander along the Queen’s Staircase’s 66 limestone steps in Fort Fincastle or check out the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas. Then again, there’s always the underwater world to explore by renting complimentary snorkeling gear right from the hotel.
