Accommodations
Zero George Street Hotel is Charleston’s first contemporary boutique hotel, established in five restored, circa 1804 residential buildings surrounded by lush courtyards. Opened in early 2013, Zero George is a blend of historic architecture, modern design, and 18 casually elegant guestrooms and suites with adjoining open- air piazzas. Each guestroom features custom designed armoires with mini-bars and in-room coffee, heart pine floors, spacious marble bathrooms, high ceilings and period millwork details. Zero George is nestled in a classic Charleston private garden courtyard setting, with brick and blue stone paving, cast iron fountains, framed by rows of statuesque Palmetto Palm trees and rich garden plantings.

Venue Features
The Scene:
For a truly memorable dining experience, cuisine and atmosphere are paired as thoughtfully as food and wine. This is Zero George’s secret ingredient: the quintessential Charleston experience, where the patina of history melds with contemporary luxury and local fare is celebrated. Guests tell us they’re not sure what they love more: our food or our setting. That’s fine by us; we consider them indistinguishable.
Design:
Circa 1804, the eighteen studios and suites are located in a landscaped enclave surrounded by three Charleston residences and two brick carriage houses. All guestrooms feature original architectural elements including heart pine floors, high ceilings, period millwork details and classic piazzas. Guests are greeted upon arrival in the ‘heart’ of the house, the original kitchen carriage house on the courtyard. This 1805 Carriage House has been transformed into the guest reception for our concierge desk, adjacent to our custom designed professional show kitchen, with a signature French enamel cooking range.
Standout Venue Features:
There’s no hiding at Zero George, no mysteries “back in the kitchen.” In fact, our professional kitchen with our prized Lacanache French enamel range is proudly front and center, the first thing guests see when entering the Zero George reception area. Here in our quaint, cozy 1804 Carriage House, Chef Petrillo and Sous Chef Amanda Black perform an extraordinary culinary duet in the tiniest of kitchens, proving that huge flavors can come from small places.

The bar is open nightly from 5-10 pm with Happy Hour drink specials from 5-7 pm.

The Report

If you are going to getaway with a group or throw a big bash, wouldn't you want to gather in a city that has graced the 'The Top 10 Cities in the U.S.'  list?! We certainly would. Charleston isn't just known for its pretty, but also for its friendly. We love a well-mannered town that feels like a warm and gracious host. Architecture, history, glorious gardens of overgrowing rose bushes, horse-drawn carriages, sprawling mansions, sun, sand, sailing and surf. You get all of this goodness in one delightful little city. Ivy climbing up the brick walls of perfectly restored buildings and streets lined with huge oak trees. You don't need to be a true Southern Lady or Gent to appreciate all that Charming Charleston has to offer. It is a city brimming with historic lure and art gallery galore but you can also opt to just casually watch seagulls, sunsets and sailboats cruise by.

It's hard to stick out in a city that has all of the above and famous streets like 'Rainbow Row', consisting of Crayola colored mansions all lined up in a single file. But somehow Zero George Street Hotel has managed to accomplish just that. The hotel opened in February of 2013, and is situated in the historic quiet neighborhood of Ansonborough, a mere 15-minute walk from bustling King Street and the restaurants of East Bay. The hotel consists of 5 historic buildings surrounding a brick courtyard. The main Anson building along with the two-story brick carriage house are original to the property and were built in 1804. The Cooper and the Zero buildings, built in 1816, were moved here in the 1980’s.

HOW WILL MY GUESTS GET HERE?:Zero George is approximately 20-minutes from the airport. For our guests, we are always more than happy to arrange a car service to pick them up from the airport.
