Whitehall - A Place to Entertain.
This secluded mansion commands magnificent views of the Chesapeake Bay. The grounds consist of 110 acres of sprawling lawns and fields, bordered by two creeks and Whitehall Bay. Whitehall is 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Annapolis by car or by boat and offers many locations to hold your wedding, wedding reception, or your charity or corporate event. Whitehall’s grounds will be made available for weddings and other events, though the parties will have to be held outside to minimize wear and tear on the historic home. However, the interior of the home may be used for unique bridal and wedding party photographs.
Built in 1764 before the start of the American Revolution, Whitehall was home to Horatio Sharpe, the last Provincial Governor of Maryland. The house stands as the finest example of Palladian architecture in the country and was the first National Historic Landmark to be designated in the state of Maryland. Whitehall remains remarkably preserved with over 100 acres of gardens, fields and park lands.
