Waves of Grain
Venue Setting
Welcome to this fabulous newly converted barn. With far-reaching views stretching beyond the River Taw towards Exmoor and beyond, it offers a restorative rural retreat where you can relax and reconnect with nature.
Inside, the ground floor plan offers a compromise between open-plan and enclosed layouts, with a certain degree of separation between the spaces meaning that you can let the kids run wild down one end of the barn while you're concentrating on cooking in the kitchen.
A large light-filled hallway sits between the cosy sitting room and one end of the home and the kitchen/diner at the other. It's dominated by an impressive oak staircase that leads you up to the three ample bedrooms, two of which are en-suite.
North Devon has a lot to explore, from family-friendly bike rides along the (essentially flat) Tarka Trail to challenging hikes through the rugged beauty of Exmoor National Park and some of the finest stretches of golden sand this side of the North Atlantic. On the south side of the river Taw, you can access the Royal North Devon Golf Club, the quaint fishing village of Appledore and the kite sports mecca of Westward Ho! beach, all within a twenty-minute drive. Head north, and the likes of Woolacombe Beach, the stunning landscapes of Exmoor, and the picturesque coastal duo of Lynton and Lynmouth are each around forty minutes away.
