Venue Setting

WavePark Resort Mentawai is a small boutique resort set amongst some of the best surfing waves in the world. We have a 77 acre island exclusive for the use of our guests. We can cater for between 1 - 25 guests, although 12 guests is optimal, especially if they are surfing. We offer full island discounts and have no problem hosting any special functions.

Venue Features
The Scene:
Our island is rimmed by one of the most beautiful beaches in South East Asia. Our natural harbor is listed in sailing books as a 10/10 place to anchor. We have one of the best waves in Mentawai (Hideaways) a 5 minute walk from the private bungalows. Our beach is perfect for family swimming, snorkeling, SUP, Kayak and sailing, all of which are included in the daily price. Our boats for surfing, fishing and exploring are available anytime of the day, and are also included in the daily price. Each boat is equipped with a local guide, boat drivers, and safety equipment. A real ocean lover's getaway!
Design:
We have taken pains to vanish into the background of our island. All construction is wooden and thatch, designed and built by the resort staff themselves with foreign supervision. Our beautifully maintained gardens surround the private bungalows which are set only 30 meters from the white sand beach. Each bungalow has its own private beach access and chaise lounges.
Standout Venue Features:
We have daily access to over 25 named surfing breaks within a 30 minute speedboat ride. We are the only resort to include the mainland - resort transfer in the daily price. We are the only resort to have an exclusive island for the use of our guests only, and it is very private; perfect for a hush hush getaway.
Extra Perks:
All food is included in the price with three cooked meals a day. Housekeeping takes care of your bungalow while you are away with linens changed and fresh towels. We have a employee to guest ratio of 2:1, meaning that your group will be well cared for by our staff at the resort and on the mainland.
Awards & Notables We are number 1 on TripAdvisor for our province, and have an occupancy of over 90% on average. We have been operating for 17 years, and our return guest number is 80%. Results speak for themselves.

Our resort kitchen provides a western/asian menu that never repeats itself during the 10 - 11 day trips.
Bars & Lounges:
SaBar is the first full bar in Mentawai. We have a house selection of cocktails, wine and cold beer, as well as specialty cocktails perfect for the tropical clime.
