The scene:: Set in northern San Diego country with panoramic views that sprawl to the Pacific Ocean and span from Mexico to San Clemente Island. This California luxury vacation rental sits on 21 peaceful acres and is surrounded by natural beauty, with exclusive hiking trails, over 20 types of fruit trees, and over 1,500 cedar trees as part of an incredible reforestation collection. The home is about an hour and a half away from San Diego International Airport and downtown San Diego. Once you get here, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area including:

★ Palomar Mountain State Park (10-minute drive) - A beautiful forest with mountain meadows, high atop the west side of Palomar Mountain. Large pine, fir, and cedar trees make the park one of the few areas in southern California with a Sierra Nevada-like atmosphere. The park features camping, picnicking, and hiking.
Design:: This incredible off-grid home has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 3 state-of-the-art workstations, a chef’s kitchen with all of the appliances you need, an indoor fireplace, a private fitness center, and beautiful outdoor space with mini golf, cornhole, outdoor seating, and private hiking trails surrounded by fruit trees. Our WiFi is also super fast so it is perfect for remote workers and digital nomads!

-Bedrooms-
The property has 3 beautifully designed bedrooms, all with sweeping mountain views. There are two king beds and two queens, all with premium Eight Sleep Pod Pro mattresses. If you don’t have them in your bedroom, you’ll want them after your stay here and get the best night’s sleep with their cooling technology! We also use extremely soft Nollapelli sheets in all of our bedding. The primary bedroom also has a huge walk-in closet.

There is also a baby crib available, which can be set up upon request.

-Kitchen-
The kitchen is fully outfitted for all of your cooking needs – with a Nespresso coffee maker (pods included), cooking basics (oil, spice rack, salt/pepper), top-grade cookware, appliances like a toaster and a blender, and a dishwasher. The dining table sits up to 6.

-Workstations-
The property has super-fast WiFi (typically 200+ Mbps) and three amazing state-of-the-art workstations that look out onto the mountain views, helping you find new inspiration. Each is complete with a 38” monitor, 4K camera, high-quality microphone, and ergonomic desk chair. WiFi also extends outside if you want to work outdoors on the patio!

-Living Space-
The living area has a huge Lazzoni couch that could fit 8-10, Sonos speakers, and a smart TV so you can stream your favorite shows or movies. There is also a reading nook with a fireplace (firewood provided) and two comfortable La Mamma chairs.

-Outdoors-
The outdoor area has both a front and back patio space. The front patio has seating and is the best spot to watch the sunset. The backyard area has mini golf and cornhole for your enjoyment. The home sits on 21 private acres and is home to over 20 types of fruit trees, 1,500 cedar trees, and tons of trails you can explore.

-Bathrooms-
The home has two full bathrooms and one-half bath. We provide luxury bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion), premium towels and robes, and even a Dyson hair dryer in the primary bedroom – your hair will never look better!

Jilberto's Taco Shop:
Jiberto’s has several locations near Wander Palomar Mountain, but this one is the closest to the Wander house. It’s a great place for an easy lunch or dinner that you can eat on-site or bring back to the house. Aside from tacos, they also serve breakfast fare, burritos, and quesadillas.

Casino Pauma Dining:
Located inside the Pauma Casino are three locales that you can dine at: Lindo Valle Mexican Grill has all the Mexican classics that you know and love like fresh guacamole, nachos, street tacos, and enchiladas.

'ritas Cantina:
Located inside Harrah's Resort Southern California, ‘ritas Cantina serves Mexican food for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Here you will find a variety of south-of-the-border favorites like enchiladas, beef birria, and of course, queso fundido.

Portino’s Restaurant:
If you’re craving freshly-made pizza or some yummy pasta, Portinos is the place to go. In addition to all the classic Italian favorites (like calzones and breadsticks), they also serve a variety of subs and sandwiches.

The Yellow Deli - Valley Center:
The Yellow Deli offers sandwiches, salads, breakfasts, and yummy homemade soups. They use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and have dishes inspired by their locations throughout the world. Check out the menu and grab a seat in their cozy indoor/outdoor dining areas.

Rincon Reservation Road Brewery:
Rincon is SoCal’s first tribally-owned and operated brewery, meaning they make beer from sustainable ingredients inspired by their culture and the land of their ancestors.

Hill Top Winery:
Hill Top Winery grows 15 different varieties of red and white grapes on 30+ acres. The wine-tasting menu includes over 25 different wines and another 10 library reserves. You can view the full menu here.

Triple B Branches:
For three days a week, Triple B Branches opens its cellars and offers guests its full selection of wines, seasonal fruits, vegetables, and hand-crafted gifts. Tastings are available by appointment only; reservations can be made by phone or email.

Pauma Vista Vineyard:
For over 15 years, Pauma Vista Vineyard has been showcasing wine made from the Rhone and Spanish varietals of grapes that they grow on site. Their tasting room offers 12+ wines to select from and enjoy in their indoor/outdoor spaces.

Temecula Brewing Company:
Located inside Vail Headquarters, Temecula Brewing Company features a variety of hazy IPAs on tap and small-batch brews in a cozy indoor/outdoor setting adorned with string lights. This is a great place to come on a date night or with a group of friends to hang out.
