Venue Setting

Walnut Hill Farm is an old llama farm turned event venue! We have 55 beautifully landscaped acres with several venues to choose from. Our largest venue, Hilltop Barn is a gorgeous, versatile barn with stunning grounds for al fresco ceremonies, cocktail hours and lawn activities. We offer three different options for a ceremony you’ll always remember. Exchange vows inside the casually elegant Barn, with its lovely 20-foot-high ceilings, large doors for plenty of natural light to fill the venue, seating for 350 guests and polished-concrete floors make a beautiful backdrop for your event. Or express your lifelong commitment outdoors, surrounded by natural pasture, or under the romantic pavilion rimmed by a carpet of lush, sodded lawn. After you and your fiancé say, “I do,” your guests will be anxious to toast you and savor the majestic mountain views, cozy patios and outdoor fireplace in this magical place.

Upstairs is a spacious Bridal Suite where you and your bridesmaids can relax and get dressed on the big day. The Hilltop Barn Bridal Suite features two spacious rooms furnished with plush sofas, chairs and windows on three sides so you don’t miss the excitement of seeing your guests arrive. With direct access to the patio and the pavilion, you can easily transition from getting ready to making your grand entrance at the ceremony. The Barn is equipped with indoor restrooms, Internet access and comfortable HVAC. Shuttle parking and a tent for larger events are also available. 

If you and your spouse-to-be seek a more secluded wedding venue, imagine a serene hideaway in a charming, upscale farmhouse near gardens of fragrant, colorful flowers and herbs. Our Conservatory, with its stately white-columned porch and 12-foot-high ceiling, is perfect for an intimate wedding, rehearsal dinner or reception for up to 120 people. Be inspired by the beautiful wall murals depicting nature scenes in the “potting room” and drink in the spectacular views of the gardens and pond through the open barn doors from the ballroom. 

A charming and dramatic location for those who prefer an intimate affair to start their new life, the Pond Pavilion is a picturesque backdrop of foliage, pond, field, meadow and mountain accented by a fabulous pond fountain. The Pavillion is a wonderful setting for holding a small wedding, a cocktail hour before the reception or hosting a rehearsal dinner or small party. The photo images you’ll cherish for years to come.  Available for both day and evening events, the sodded-lawn Pavillion is equipped with an outdoor kitchen, electricity and Internet access. A tent and shuttle parking service are also available. 

We have several meeting rooms available for corporate retreats and business meetings as well as two guest houses on the property.

The Scene:
Our venue provides incredible mountain views. Beautiful secluded rose gardens, an outdoor fireplace, a small vineyard, a firepit with seating, several orchards and a pond with a fountain! It's a tranquil setting of 55 acres for our guests to wander and relax in!
Design:
Walnut Hill Farm was a llama farm that we have turned into an incredible event venue full of character!  The old unused barns are stlll sitting throughout the property adding charm and interest!  We have fully redone the farmhouse, the event barns, and the guest houses updated with beautiful decor and class! There are unbelievable mountain or pond views from each venue! It's rustic mountains meet elegant upscale events around here!
Standout Venue Features:
The standouts qualities of our venue is really the setting, food, and customer service. The views and gardens are unbeatable. Our chef can create a custom menu for each event as desired and her food is always incredible! 
Extra Perks:
We offer the use of all of our interesting wood and metal outdoor tables for your event standard with our venue fee. The outdoor furniture is all yours to use in any way you'd like. We have string lights available and 8 cocktail tables. When you book your event with us, you receive use of the venue all day, scheduled engagement session prior to event, rehearsal time the night before, ceremony site, use of the bridal suite all day, all reception tables and chairs, parking shuttle, menu tasting, white in house linens, and all china, glassware, silverware, and serving pieces. Basically all you need is photography, DJ, florist, and cake! We can provide the rest!  We have white wooden chairs included in our venue pricing and fruitwood chaivaris available for rent.

Pastures couldn’t be much greener than those at this old llama farm in Dalton, Georgia. With sprawling lawns, rose gardens, vineyards, mountain views, orchards, and a gorgeous stone fireplace to cozy up to outside, it’s easy to take the grounds at Walnut Hill Farm and make them home base for an awesome indoor/outdoor fete. And that’s just what this cute couple decided to do.

With a ceremony on the perfectly manicured lawns, guests were able to soak up that good southern sky as the pair exchanged wedding vows. Taking advantage of the property’s modern, bright barn as a reception spot, the night lit up with family love, unforgettable speeches, and plenty of dancing to boot. Heath of Jac & Heath Photography captured these gorgeous shots while his usual counterpart, Jac, played bridesmaid. We had a little chat with him to get the low down on the behind-the-scenes below.
