In the beautiful Tuscan countryside outside Lucca (a twenty-minute drive away), this villa epitomises la dolce vita. From your vantage point atop a verdant hill, you can gaze out over vineyards and olive groves – explore the local area by car for tastings at local wineries and olive farms. Perhaps bring back some spoils for a spot of aperitivo on the terrace. There are plenty of patios, balconies and shaded leafy nooks to choose from in the garden. Day beds and loungers line the poolside and the view from here, over the misty Tuscan hills all the way to Lucca, is particularly magnificent at sunset. The villa itself is a traditional medley of thick stone walls and a terracotta roof; just like the Tuscan farmhouses of old.
