Villa Aristotle
Venue Setting
This Greek villa is located in a resort on the Athos peninsula of Halkdiki, and is built on the beachfront with direct access to lush Mediterranean gardens for leisurely summer strolls and a private-use beach for days spent letting the waves lap at your feet.
Overlooking the sparkling turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, Komitsa Bay is a short five-minute walk from your door and provides stunning views from the home. While you breakfast on a selection of fresh fruit from your welcome hamper on the private patio, take some time to enjoy the morning vista of the breath-taking coastline. Then, lounge on a sunbed in the Greek sun before slipping into the cool waters of your private pool.
Explore Mount Athos – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – roughly a half-an-hour drive away from the villa. Or, visit Stagira, the birthplace of Aristotle – roughly forty minutes away by car – where you will find ‘Aristotle’s Park’ with its sculptures and giant scientific devices such as a compass and telescope. While for the more adventurous traveller, water-bound adventures can be had at Nea Roda Watersports Centre which is just a twelve-minute drive away.
For dinner, the area offers many charming tavernas serving traditional Greek cuisine including fish and local specialties – within a fifteen to twenty-minute drive from the home. If you would rather stay in the comfort of the villa for the evening, why not cook up your own Greek meal of moussaka in the kitchen? Then, dine alfresco, sipping wine from your welcome hamper as the sun sets over the ocean panorama.
