Winemaker Alex Retief loves his country music almost as much as his wine so it's more than lunch kelly to be on the playlist! On the last Sunday of each month, the winery holds long-table lunches with guest chefs, where 6 wines are paired with 5 courses.

The scene:
Our winery is located in a warehouse space located in creative hub Precinct 75, a former paint factory that is now home to artisans, bakers, carpenters and bakers. Enter our site and be hit with the distinctive smell of French oak barrels and maturing wine, and see the winery press, stacks of barrels & a wine walk with rows of A.Retief wines. That's just some of the photo oops!
Design:
Our guests are always surprised to discover that we are a fully working winery space - our high industrial ceilings, stacks of barrels and roller door entrance provide impact, but equally importantly, allow us to crush and process grapes during harvest months!
Standout venue features:
Guests are able to organise blend-your-own wine classes and order personalised labels for their bespoke blend.
Extra perks:
60 wood chairs, Riedel glassware matched to the wines, one long (adjustable) table, round wood platters, cutlery and crockery.

Urban Winery Sydney serves cheese and charcuterie plates from award-winning local producers including Salumi Australia and Challenger Smallgoods. We have worked with a number of local chefs and caterers, all of whom focus on creating delicious, memorable food using sustainable and seasonal produce.
Order wine hand-crafted onsite by the glass, bottle or in a tasting flight from a stool at the bar, or from the high-backed chairs while playing backgammon at the corner nook!
