Venue Setting

Triple S Ranch was part of an original Mexican Land Grant of 1,000's of acres and has been a family resort since 1958.
There are 14 unique cottages all of which have been meticulously restored as well as a Grand Victorian for lodging up to 51 guests.
Families would come from all over Northern California to horseback ride, swim, hike, eat, and relax in this serene setting.
Notable guests included Rocky Marciano who trained here before a prize fight in Calistoga and Robert Mondavi who loved to dine at the ranch.

Triple S Ranch Napa is located on a serene ridge to the east of Calistoga with unobstructed views across the hills to the west. The property consists of 20 acres and is surrounded by vineyards of the Knights Valley Appellation. Triple S is completely private with vistas of wide open spaces and grand trees, including a massive Black Walnut tree popular for ceremonies as well as many redwood trees, sequoia trees, oak trees, Douglas fir trees, and fig trees. The structures on this historic ranch include the grand Victorian built in 1867, a redwood Vintner's Barn built in the 1880s, a swimming pool, infinity hot tub, gym and fourteen cabins.

The main house is one of the oldest homes in Napa Valley. The house is 2,400 square feet and is comprised of two buildings joined together. The oldest section of the house is the original homestead built in 1854 and the newest section is a ‘high Victorian’ built in 1869. The hallmarks of the home are the large rooms, high ceilings, and intricate Victorian details. The house is fully decorated with antiques from the Victorian period. When you walk through the front door you will feel as though you are in the 1860’s. The house has three bedrooms and three full baths.

The Vintner's Barn is an original 1860′s dairy barn and was recently renovated using antique salvage from around the world. The barn was built on the side of a hill so that hay could be stored upstairs while the cows were milked downstairs. In the 1920’s the structure was changed into a winery as the ranch moved from raising cattle to growing grapes and apricots. The building was reconfigured to process/crush the grapes on the main floor and store the wine in barrels in the basement. In the 1950’s the use of the building was changed again into a vibrant restaurant/roadhouse. The Vintner's Barn is situated next to a creek and sits under massive redwood trees. There is a large deck that overlooks the property as well as two back patios with views into the creek canyon. The back patios have large redwood slab tables, chairs, a pizza oven and Argentine BBQ.

The Vintner's Barn can seat up to 200 without a dance floor and 150 people with a dancing area. The back patios can also seat up to 200 people outside for dinner. There is a 30’ antique bar upstairs and a 20’ antique barn downstairs. There is a full commercial kitchen with three refrigerators, one ice box, two commercial ranges, three sinks and lots of prep-areas.

Triple S Ranch Napa

SSS Ranch Napa, Mountain Home Ranch Road, Calistoga, CA, USA

Created in partnership with our friends Triple S Ranch.

Napa Valley is renowned for its organic eateries and award-winning winemakers, yet it’s the hidden Victorian homes and old roadhouses that make this popular destination feel rooted and historic. Set tucked away in the rolling vineyards and hills of Calistoga, just an hour’s drive from San Francisco, Triple S Ranch is one of those kinds of places. A collection of fully restored antique barns, cottages that back to the 1920s-1950s and a grand Victorian home sit on the sprawling Victorian ranch, bringing together collected antiques and architectural salvage to set a scene that feels time-worn and yet simultaneously modern.

An eco-luxury resort, Triple S Ranch is home to well-appointed accommodations for up to 51 guests, with the possibility to double that occupancy by adding a collection of glamping tents on the grounds. The destination, surrounded by some of the best hotels and resorts, gourmet restaurants and wineries in California, makes a great spot for weddings, group getaways and corporate retreats that serve as a way to reconnect with friends, family, self and nature. We recently caught up with the team behind the ranch about their events program, as shared below.
