Please note, the venue fee does not include a wedding coordinator which is required at our venue. There is a 20% service charge for food and beverage. Staffing is not included but will be determined and provided by The Wayback based on the number of guests that attend your event. 

The Wayback provides all food, beverage, and bar packages. Bar packages start at $14/hr/person and can increase to $20/hr/person

Each cottage has a unique layout perfect to host your group on property. There are 8 cottages onsite sleeping a total of 22 guests. Each layout is different so please visit our website to view room layouts.  All cottages are situated around a grove of oaks and cottages  5 - 8 have Hill Country views.

The Scene:

We love our beautiful, urban Austin, but also truly appreciate a little escape to the Texas Hill Country where it’s quieter, the air is fresh and time slows. The Wayback is a casual boutique hotel 15 minutes west of downtown. Our style here is friendly, comfortable and classic. Surrounded by hills and a big Texas sky, The Wayback is a place to feel the breeze, be carefree and linger.

Eight classic board-and-batten cottages sit peacefully under the live oaks. Interiors are outfitted with a laid-back luxury, combining organic textiles, a bit of vintage, and lots of comfort. 

Our cafe serves the best of local, incorporating the freshest ingredients on a seasonal menu that balances southern staples with newfound favorites. The patio and outdoor lawns are perfect for dining alfresco.

Lounge poolside and cool off in the heat of a Texas summer, or warm-up on a cool night while making s'mores around the fire.


The Wayback mingles with nature, inviting travelers to do the same. Come visit us...it's better out here.

Choose from eight classic board-and-batten cottages with interiors that combine fresh, natural, and a bit of vintage.

Standout Venue Features:
There are eight individual cottages on site with a saltwater pool in the middle. A grove area that can accommodate exercise classes such as yoga and sound meditation. The back lawn has hill country views. 

The Cafe:
The Wayback Cafe was created as a comfortable place for our neighbors, and travelers to gather. Our farm to table menus change with the seasons, ensuring the freshest, finest taste, sourced locally.  Join us in our dining room, on the patio, or for a picnic on the lawn. 
Extra Perks:
10 tables, 40 dining chairs (for indoor use only) plates, flatware, and service ware provided up to 40 people. additional service ware can be rented through the venue or through an outside vendor.
