The Meekermark Est. 2018
21156 Karen-Switch Road, Magnolia, TX, USA
Why it's called The Meekermark?
In the early 1800s, barns were hand-built by skilled craftsmen. As the timbers for a barn were laid out on the ground, each connection or joint had to be chiseled by hand. Wherever 2 pieces of wood were to be joined the builder would scribe markings into the wood. Most often these chiseled markings appear as Roman numerals on barn beams. They were inscribed there as a way for the joiner, or builder, to keep track of which beams went whereas he moved them around.
These markings were called marriage marks. This story reminded us of how God joins 2 people uniquely crafted by Him to fit together only with each other for a lifetime. Since our last name is Meeker, we came up with the name The Meekermark as a place for couples to start their married lives together.
