Originally built in the 1920s, The Gothic Theatre’s grand art deco style provides an extraordinary and beautiful background for concerts and special events. With a maximum capacity of 1,100, The Gothic Theatre is the perfect place to host your next corporate event, award show, private party, wedding or benefit concert. In addition, the Central Denver location offers excellent access to the Englewood Light Rail Station.

Renovated in 1998, the historic interior was preserved as the venue was rebuilt from top to bottom to become a premier Colorado event venue. Since then, the Gothic Theatre has hosted many distinguished shows. Local bands, as well as nationally recognized acts continue to showcase their talent at the venue.

The Scene:
The Gothic Theatre is a former movie theatre, the first in Denver to show “talkies,” turned music venue. Originally built in the 1920s, The Gothic Theatre’s grand art deco style provides an extraordinary and beautiful background. Though the front façade was altered in the 1940s to keep pace with modern tastes of the times, when renovated in 1998 the historic interior was kept as the venue was rebuilt from top to bottom and fitted to become a premier part of Colorado music. On June 23, 1999, when the very appropriate legends of New Orleans, The Rebirth Brass Band, took the stage, the glorious Gothic Theatre was back in the business of making memories. Since then the Gothic Theatre has hosted many distinguished shows and private event celebrations. The art deco interiors, wall murals and vintage wall sconces create a perfect environment to customize this unique space for a private event.
Design:
The interior offers tiered levels on the main floor and balcony to ensure excellent flow and sight lines to the stage. The wall murals in muted shades of blue, purple and gold highlight the art deco themes in the theater. This theater offers professional grade sound and lights systems to take your event to the next level. The neon marquee can be customized for your event or celebration.
