The Elk Est. 2014
128 Charles Street, Lower Manhattan, New York, New York, United States, Manhattan
The Elk's menu is the brainchild of Chef Sam Talbot who frequents local markets daily for the freshest ingredients. An un-written item on the menu: people love to “put an egg on it”, so we will serve some of our crowd favorites like the avocado mash toast or kale caesar with a fried egg by request! There are daily baked goodies always on the menu yet on certain days there are surprise menu add-ons like nutella filled cookies.

- The Scene:
- Just off Greenwich Street and surrounded by neighborhood homes, The Elk's floor to ceiling windows provide a welcoming glimpse into the café before entering. The Elk's newly refurbished location maintains the neighborhood feel with the original outer facade, inner architectural columns and brick wall.
- Design:
- Partnering with the well-known carpentry duo Ennis McIntosh, The Elk features a contemporary design. Natural daylight floods in from the floor-to-ceiling windows, emitting a simple glow off the blond wood decor. By night, the light of the indoor hanging lamps warms the environment. The seating can be rearranged to fit the needs of the event.
- Standout Venue Features:
- The Elk is also a small general store featuring a collection of unique picks including Joya Candles, Anarchy in a Jar jams and assorted Izola home goods line the walls. The café & general store pairing creates a very intimate neighborhood environment removed from the busy city.
