The Scene:

The Dolder Grand is much more than just a place for guests to stay the night: The Hotel on the Adlisberg is a social hub, a melting pot, and one of Switzerland’s top addresses when it comes to culinary delights. Its lobby and the Bar regularly host the local and international scene, who flock to the Dolder Grand to network, socialise and enjoy a drink with friends in a laid-back atmosphere.

Design:

History meets Modernity - Between 2004 and 2008, the Dolder Grand underwent extensive renovations. The renowned, London-based architecture practice Foster and Partners combined the Hotel’s historic Main Building of 1899 with modern architectural accoutrements. While the exclusive, subtle decor of the Main Building exudes a uniquely historical character, the two new wings embody the contemporary zeitgeist.

BALLROOM:
The oval ballroom is one of the Dolder Grand’s architectural highlights that allows for a wide variety of seating arrangements. This makes the 400-square-metre room ideal not only for conferences and seminars, but also for balls, weddings, and banquets. The imposing cupola ceiling can be lit in a variety of colours, the parquet flooring is perfect for dancing the night away, and the walls are clad in Alcantara, thus guaranteeing excellent acoustics. GALLERY:
With a total floor space of 715 square metres, the Gallery is the largest event location at the Dolder Grand, offering a subtle colour scheme, elegant parquet flooring and large floor-to-ceiling windows. One of its most unique features is its lighting, which can be set to practically any colour. Thanks to its spacious floorplan, the Gallery can host events, meetings and celebrations of all kinds. GALLERY LOUNGES:
The three Gallery Lounges are all accessible via a lobby and can be booked individually or in combination. With their floor-to-ceiling windows, parquet floors and a spacious terrace, they are the perfect location for events of all kinds. The adjoining lobby serves as a reception venue for the lounges, which have a combined total area of 344 square metres and can therefore be used in a variety of ways.

GARDEN SALONS:
The Dolder Grand has three Garden Salons located in the Main Building that offer direct access to the outdoor terrace. With a combined total floor space of 409 square metres, the exquisitely appointed rooms can be used individually or in combination and can be expanded or scaled down as needed. LIBRARIES:
Both Libraries offer an intimate atmosphere with a distinctly British flair. The fireplace, the painting by Dutch artist Abraham Bisschop, the antiques and the travel literature complement the cosy feel. The Restaurant - Fine Dining at the Michelin Restaurant
The Restaurant serves fresh and innovative gourmet cuisine created by our Chef Fine Dining, Heiko Nieder, in a stylish atmosphere. The gourmet restaurant has been awarded 19 GaultMillau points and 2 Michelin stars and is one of the most highly rated restaurants in Zurich. Come and sample a surprising and seemingly endless array of flavours and enjoy an unforgettable evening at the Michelin restaurant.

Saltz Restaurant - All Day Dining
The Saltz restaurant, designed by artist Rolf Sachs, exudes a unique atmosphere of relaxed familiarity combined with an air of understated opulence. It is a place in which guests can question their preconceptions and see things from a completely new perspective. Our Chef à la carte Julian Mai has created a menu of uncomplicated sophistication, which is characteristic of the simple yet refined approach he takes to cooking and his belief in using regional ingredients and specialities. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of our Hotel Bar and Lounge, with its historic elements, modern design and contemporary art, while we serve you drinks and snacks, as well as home-made cakes, tarts and coffee. In the evening, not only our DJ but also our bartenders mix classic cocktails and our signature drinks, such as «Dolder Negroni» or the «Grand Espresso Martini» – bar feeling guaranteed.
