The Santa Barbara Community Arts Workshop is a "blank canvas" for artists and creativity in the heart of Santa Barbara. The space's beautiful historic character—worn wooden beams and original brick — inspire creativity and connection. We are pleased to function as a venue for events in addition to the art gallery shows, dance and theatre peformances, puppet-building, music concerts, classes, workshops, and many other activities that take place at the CAW year-round.
The Community Arts Workshop is two buildings and four separate spaces of functional, open space suitable for events, workshops, art shows, performances, classes, rehearsals, webinars, filming, photography, and more. Rolling garage doors on many of the rooms allow for abundant airflow and an easy flow in general from indoor to outdoor.
There is approximately 4,500 square feet of indoor space, and the entire site is approximately 10,000 square feet.
