THE COLONY IS A MULTI-FACETED SPACE THAT LENDS ITSELF TO A WIDE RANGE OF GATHERINGS. WE REGULARLY HOST WEDDINGS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, CORPORATE EVENTS, TRAINING RETREATS, CONFERENCES, ARTISAN SALES, PERFORMANCES, POP-UP DINNERS AND PHOTO SHOOTS. THE SPACE HAS MANY ROOMS THAT CAN BE RENTED INDIVIDUALLY BY THE HOUR OR COMBINED FOR A FULL PROPERTY RENTAL.

ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE COLONY IS OUR LODGING CAPABILITY. THERE ARE TWO FULLY FURNISHED APARTMENTS AND THREE FULLY REMODELED VINTAGE TRAVEL TRAILER AVAILABLE FOR RENT ON THE PROPERTY. UNITS CAN BE RENTED SEPARATELY, TOGETHER OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANY OF THE ADJACENT MULTI-USE SPACES THAT MAKE UP THE COLONY. 

All of the existing furnishings at The Colony are included in your rental. We do not provide additional tables, chairs or other furniture for your event. You are welcome to tour the facility to see what you will need to procure for your event. There are a number of rental companies that work at The Colony on a regular basis and are very familiar with the space. 

The property has a parking area that is open to patrons and guests of The Colony. Beyond the capacity of this lot, there is an ample amount of street parking. There is very little residential property in close proximity to the facility, so most of the time the street provides plenty of parking spaces for our guests.

Venue Features
The Scene:
This mid-century colonial icon located in the St. Johns neighborhood comprises flexible event space, creative office, conference and presentation spaces and a licensed commercial kitchen. The property also features two fully furnished, stylishly decorated apartments and a remodeled travel trailer designed to make your stay in the Pacific Northwest inspiring and comfortable.

The Ballroom and adjacent Fireside rooms make a wonderful center of activity for larger gatherings at The Colony. The Ballroom can comfortable seat 150 guests at one time and can accommodate upwards of 200 guests for less formal seating plans. With the addition of the Studio and other rentable rooms the facility can easily host 250-300 guests. Additionally, we have ample space in our lot, adjacent to the Ballroom, to accommodate a large festival-style tent that increases the event capacity even more.

Our Conference Room is an intimate work/meeting space designed to host small groups. The room is equipped with a 12 foot repurposed wood conference table and comfortable seating for up to 15 people. Our wireless network is designed to service large groups with a strong uninterrupted signal. With advance notice and a supplemental router our network can support a larger number of laptops,. We provide dry erase boards, easels and other presentation tools per your request. LCD projectors and screens are also available for rental. Additional audio-visual needs can be easily accommodated.
