The Brampton is a secluded lodge situated on the Hudson River amongst 10 acres of woodland.
The idea is that you can do as little or as much as you want, bu you don't have to do anything. We like to make sure the guests always have fun things to do in the house so we have a dart board, pool table, hot tub, cards and several board games all of which are on hand in case the weather forces you to play inside.

The Brampton is a secluded lodge situated on the Hudson River amongst 10 acres of woodland, tucked away in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains; it's just 15 mins from the ski resort of Gore Mountain (the largest in NY) and only 20 mins from the 32 mile long and stunning Lake George where we keep our speedboat to take out guests.
The activities we offer include kayaking, tubing, hiking, golf, fitness weekends, yoga, doing nothing except drinking beer round the fire, rafting, fishing or, frankly, just breathing in some fresh air nowhere near Canal Street or Penn Station. Jeff, the manager, will be onsite to help out with cooking / transport / logistics.
The lodge is over 3000 square feet and can sleep 24 guests. There are 6 bedrooms (one is a dormitory of bunk beds), 5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, dining room and kitchen. We also have nearby accomodation if your group is larger than 24. Other features include: 2 fireplaces, wifi, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, absolutely no televisions, outdoor grill and a speedboat moored on Lake George to take small groups out water-skiing or on an island safari. The lake boasts 165 islands, most of which you can camp on.

- We have 6 bedrooms, one of which is a dormitory of bunk beds (although they're 'double bed' bunks). We also have an outdoor 'Safari style' bedroom and outdoor shower, for the full 'at one with nature' experience.

The scene
The property is fairly new and has the feel of a large Alpine ski lodge. The Hudson River flows right next to the driveway so the only thing you can hear at night is the flowing river. This also means that should guests want to dip in the river, they are only yards away from doing so.
Design
We just finished building an outdoor bedroom, an 800 sq foot yoga and a fitness deck with outdoor shower. Our plan is to keep building cabins and accommodation on the property as the lodge grows in popularity. By all means, bring your own tent and fulfil all your glamping desires.
Standout venue features
The property sits on the Hudson River and a few minutes walk away is your chance to run and jump into the river to swim and cool off.
We have a speedboat on the lake to take people water-skiing, on the doughnut, cliff jumping or onto one of the many islands for a picnic or beach day.
We know lots of people in the local area and can organise white water rafting, golf, tubing, zip lining and many other activities.

Close by there is a fun bar with great food called Bar Vino - we often stop in there on the way back from skiing during the winter for a quick drink.
