The scene:: The Boarding House is set in a historical building constructed in 1872 in Chicago's River North. There are 5 floors of unique and stunning event spaces offering multiple options for your event.
Design:: We are famed for our dramatic chandeliers. In our chandelier bar there is a chandelier composed of 10,000 inverted wine glasses and in our Main Dining Room the stage is set my a dramatic chandelier composed of 6,000 Riesling bottles.
Standout venue features:: The Boarding House is owned by Alpana Singh, the youngest woman to ever become a Master Sommelier. As such we have over 8 sommeliers on staff so we are the ideal venue for both the casual wine lover or the connoisseur. We offer a variety of wine tastings to initiate the novice, and advanced education and team building classes for the experts.
