This 177-year-old treasure was salvaged to preserve its history and give it a new lease on life. Once used as the primary barn on Peverly Farm in the historic village of Canterbury, NH, this three-story, 10,000 square foot structure was carefully reassembled in its new home in Plymouth, NH.

Additional Charges

A 9% NH state tax and 20% service fee is added to all food and non-alcoholic beverages purchased. Ivory house linens (napkins and tablecloths) are included for in-house events. We offer linens in a variety of colors, for an additional fee of 12. per table cloth, 2. per napkin and 15. each for floor-length table cloths. A deposit is required to reserve your event and secure your event date.

Venue Features
The Scene:
The Barn features three-story windows which flood the space with natural light, dance floor, a grand staircase leading to the second floor, built-in table risers which allow every guest to truly be a part of the event, two bars (one on each level) and a fieldstone fireplace. The Barn is furnished with white-washed, cross-back bistro chairs, whitewashed handmade farm tables and round tables covered with ivory floor-length linens*. Rustic chandeliers and accent bistro lighting provide a warm patina. The Barn is equipped with air conditioning and heating systems to comfortably accommodate events year-round.

Three sets of double French doors on the Barn’s first floor lead out to a terrace framed by birch trees, providing a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. It is an ideal setting for a cocktail reception. For an additional fee, a tent may be added.

A path leads from the Barn to our spacious, flower-filled greenhouse, a truly memorable setting for your wedding ceremony. The space is brick-floored with glass walls and ceiling and furnished with simple iron chairs. Stunning views can be had from the surrounding lawns and terrace. The greenhouse is available seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through November (weather dependent).

Once used as the primary barn on Peverly Farm in the historic village of Canterbury, NH, this three-story, 10,000 square foot structure was carefully reassembled in its new home in Plymouth, NH. The Barn hosts up to 300 guests for gatherings and celebrations of all kinds, and is equipped with modern conveniences like handicapped accessibility, an elevator, bathrooms on every floor, climate control for year-round events, a full kitchen, and space to host up to 300 guests comfortably. The open-framed interior features original 1855 posts, beams, trusses, and Muntin windows that frame stunning views of the nearby mountains.

After your wedding reception has concluded, keep the party going upstairs at Foster’s Boiler Room Restaurant at the Common Man Inn & Spa! Foster’s spacious lounge is available exclusively to your guests from 11:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m. the night of your wedding. Select an Open or Cash Bar Enjoy Passed Late-Night Snacks, including: Warm Pretzel Bites, Bacon Bourbon Popcorn and Assorted Flatbread Pizzas The BIG screen at Foster’s is available for your curated slideshow!

Foster’s Boiler Room offers mouth-watering, delicious American cuisine, a funky small plates menu and classic comfort foods, plus an extensive local craft beer menu and a creative cocktails and wine list. In the winter, enjoy appetizers and beverages by our crackling fireplace, and in warmer months dine on our rooftop patio. For an intimate dinner, enjoy our secluded wine room surrounded by exposed brick walls and a long cedar table, perfect for groups of up to 14 guests.
