In 2002, a patch of woods became our "happy place." The Barn at Turkey Ridge, a three-story traditional fieldstone bank barn was erected in true timber frame fashion. Over the years it has been home to several beloved horses, a donkey, some cows, and one small pig. It has been filled to the roof with sweet-smelling hay, trucks, and tractors, and the earthy smell of firewood stacked high. The fence boards surrounding the pastures, and the exposed wooden slats inside The Barn were milled onsite, from the very trees that were cut down to create the rolling hay fields and beautiful views. Fast forward 15 years....we have carefully and creatively converted The Barn to suit the needs of our guests, and to bring life and energy back into this wonderful space. Exposed beams and a copper roof create a warm and inviting rustic interior, and each area of The Barn is a wonderful place to be. Dance under grand vintage chandeliers, have a drink at one of our rustic bars or have conversations in our wicker and Adirondack chairs in the grassy barnyard. Set in the center of almost 100 acres, there are sweeping views of the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains and lush pastures and hay fields. This peaceful, private, and unique stone barn is just 15 minutes south of Charlottesville, Virginia!
