The Apparatus Room bridges the old and the new, offering iconic New American cuisine by Chef Rece Hogerheide rooted in Midwestern ingredients, thoughtfully crafted cocktails, and esoteric wines. By blending a three-meal restaurant, elevated dinner service with signature touches, and a world class hotel bar, the Apparatus Room welcomes locals and travels alike to sip, stay, and enjoy one of Detroit’s signature restaurants. Our cocktail program is classically focused with inspiration drawn from the history of the building and the city itself. The ingredients may be familiar and the presentation simple and classic, though each cocktail has a deeper story to tell for those who have time to listen. Sommelier Liz Martinez showcases the diversity of both Old World & New World wines, and the regions are separated as such on the menu. Winemakers that take pride in sustainable, environmental practices are always on the top of our mind.
