Situated just 5 minutes from the CBD in a renovated warehouse in Bowden, the studio boasts an internal open plan area of approximately 200sqm, and 100sqm terrace out front. Tenth & Gibson's recycled materials and bespoke design lends itself to all manner of productions and events.

Venue Features

The scene

The property is situated in the burgeoning former industrial suburb of Bowden. With gentrification well under way, the area is an interesting mix of heritage buildings and new development. Tenth & Gibson combines these two characteristics in an adaptive re-use of an industrial warehouse, showcasing a unique blend of practicality and bespoke design.

Design

As our venue is a working photography and film studio, one end of the main space is occupied by a large cyclorama, or white wall. For events this makes for a minimal, yet breathtaking backdrop to all manner of things; from wedding ceremonies, to live music, or film premieres. Much of Tenth & Gibson has been designed with ecological issues in mind, and as such the bulk of the conversion was completed with recycled and sustainable materials; most notably, a giant timber-clad wall made from century old Douglas Fir which dominates the space.
